Oilers in 5. Vegas wasn't that impressive vs a team that barely made the playoffs and were decimated by injuries.
Oilers need to tighten it up a little but how much will depend on if RNH, Kane and Hyman finally show up. Bottom six and the defense is rolling

vegas in six. they go deeper at every position than edmonton and that'll be the difference
IDK I actually think Vegas is less deep than LA, and the Oilers depth came through against LA. Vegas has more star power, mobile AF Dman, and overall a better system, but their system is actually worse against the Oilers compared to LA.

Line 1:
Kane-McDavid-Hyman > Barbashev-Eichel-Marchessault

Line 2:
RNH-Draisaitl-Kostin/Janmark >> Smith-Karlsson-Amadio

Line 3:

Howden-Stephenson-Stone >>> Whatever Oilers use.

Line 4:
Tossup really.

Dpairing 1:
Martinez-Pietrangelo = Ekholm-Bouchard (With how well Bouchard has played, I actually give Oilers the edge here).
McNabb-Theodore > Nurse-Ceci
Hague-Whitecloud > Kulak-Desharnais/Broberg

I give a slight edge in goaltending. I guess the Knights are slightly deeper, but I don't it's enough to match Oilers having 2 generational talents, especially since Vegas doesn't have the means to shutdown both McDavid and Draisaitl if they're not together.

Coin toss i'd say. Vegas is definitely a tough out, not very easy to get quality chances anywhere near the net. If the Oilers can somehow find a way to get in close on LB they have a pretty good chance here.

Stone makes the team so much better. Everyone thinks this is the same Vegas team that sleep walked a lot of games down the stretch
Yep....people seem to be forgetting just how great Stone is and how much he has improved an already excellent squad....

Can Edmonton’s goaltending hold up? This is going to be a close one.. 6/7 games. I’ll take the team with the best player in the world.

They had the shortest series of the playoffs...
Aside from game 5 the other four were closely contested. Final outcome isn’t a true indicator to how close it was.

Everyone is saying Edmonton's goaltending is questionable but what about Vegas'?

Regardless, I think it's gonna be a high scoring battle

Can Vegas' goaltending hold up? I'll take Skinner over Brossoit or a banged up Logan Thompson.

If Vegas can stay out of the box, they can win. Edmonton’s powerplay is just too lethal. I’m going Edmonton in 7.

Going to be a great series of I think fire wagon hockey. Might come down to whichever team can get that extra save from their “rookie” goaltending. Oilers in 7

Loved watching Brossoit when he played for the Oil Kings and wish him nothing but success except for now :sarcasm:
My 2 most important ideals/truth/what ever the actual word I'm looking for are coming into some major conflict series.

The first is I want us to win... the 2nd is I don't care if we lose if the Oilers do too.:laugh::laugh:

So I guess the only way I'll be happy with a loss this series is if the Oilers beat Vegas and are then immediately expelled from the league, might need a couple of benjamins in the bribe envelope for that one.:laugh::laugh:

Vegas in 5. The Knights have woken and Thompson is fully healthy. We may see him in this series.

Vegas is 4 lines deep. They have Chandler Stephenson and Mark Stone on their 3rd line. That could be the series right there.

Unlike LA, Vegas locks it down between the hash marks and doesn't give away onetimers right in the slot. And their D is way bigger and more physical.

Knights in 6, this is going to be a good series. Kings were just a brutal PK'ing team in the playoffs, won't happen in Vegas.
