He doesn't have to have intent. Just be a little reckless and boom.. you're back to sitting more games out.

Yeah, I do agree that he was a bit wreckless but I'm just trying to defend that he's not the dirty player that everyone is trying to portray him as. Heck, a lot of hockey fans still think Brownie dives, but us kings fans know better right?

That was all HEAD! I'd say Stoll's head took 99% of Torres' weight on that hit. You can see Stoll frogs it right after that hit! I think he was out for about a second and half immediately after the point of contact. Doesn't look good at all!!!

Shanaban has to be tired of having this same conversation with Torres every time.

There is nothing wrong with checking Stoll there, but it's blind side, you have to ease up. The rules are written so that the Hitter has the responsibility of minimize the force.

You can't take Five ****^&8 strides and hit a guy up high. This has to just annoy Shanny...

Shanny to Torres Tommorow "Really Guy.....Really" ?

One game max.

Torres is a dirty player... That hit on Hossa....How can anyone defend that.

I can't defend a guy like Torres. You have to understand where fans are coming from. A season isn't going to change our opinions, if ever.

Brown still serves a dive every now and then..but, it's not as much as fans point it out. But, that point is moot because Brown and Torres are not comparable situations.

I thought hit him in the mush (face) used to be a common saying. Maybe I'm wrong

Let him henceforth be known as "Mush"

More than a year ago. Let it go...

What you're saying is that players can't change. And I'm saying they can. And Brownie is a perfect example from kings perspective.

Torres just charged a guy(from a blind side) and hit him up high....Again....

What exactly changed ?

Like I said Shanaban has to be sick of having this conversation, over and over with this guy.

Had it been like three years of a clean record, ok that is valid.

Torres just got back this season....

Torres got banned for 25 games and less than a year later he is throwing questionable hits again. He'll get another suspension for sure if Stoll is injured

Of course Brownie and Torres are different players. All I'm trying to point out is that players can change and often do change. Believe me, if Torres wore a king uni, he'd be one of fans favorites. Probably not right away as fans will harbor ill feelings for him, but eventually, they'll see the good in a guy like Torres.

Brown is still a diver, but there is nothing wrong with it.

Cause like the Entire league is full of them, including Crosby.

The NHL is just that way now, Everyone tries to draw calls.

Don't you guys find it interesting that a large majority of kings fans think Torres hit was dirty while majority of non kings fans don't...

Somewhere in the middle lies the truth.

Are kings fans the ONLY fans in the nhl with a right perspective??? I think not.

If Stoll was Crosby people would care

Doesn't change the fact that the guy took like three to four strides and hit a vulnerable player up high. Whether he intended to do it or not, it happened and Stoll was injured.

Had Brown done that....He too would have a suspension coming.

Brown got the same treatment when he hit Pomms.

Shanaban didn't care that Brown wasn't even looking at Pomms.

Didn't care that Brown was aiming chest, Didn't care that Pomms ducked into an elbow BLAH BLAG.

Didn't care, Pomms got hit the head and was injured.

I just thing Torres gets nothing and then he has free range on the Kings. I dont care what the new Kings fans say, but goons deter these kind of hits. Why do you think Gretz had Semenko and demanded McSorley came in the trade to LA? It's not a myth no matter what you think

Last time I checked it wasn't the early '90s. Not one team left this playoffs has a goon dressed (does any team anymore to be honest?). Sure, guys like Torres, Neil and Cooke are out there but they're aggressors who are chippy but bring other things to the game. If we dressed a goon (or had one to dress) we would be wasting a roster spot on a guy who would sit on the bench and cause another line or player to double shift. No thank you.

The game was awesome, and Quick kept us in it.

If anyone is able to capture NHL tonight, in the later half of the show they have an angle from the front of the Torres hit. At normal speed it's hard to tell if actual contact is made with the head, but Stoll's head looks like it snaps pretty hard.
