Tough series that could have gone one way or the other. Hats off to the Blues, they play with poise and have a future of their own.

Great confidence building for the team. Hadn't dealt last year with this kind of adversity being behind 0-2 and having to grind out every game by a one goal margin.

And Quick is back in Conn Smythe shape! As Kevin Weeks mentioned on the CBC post-game show, Quick is simply unique!

Go Kings Go!

(My LAK car flag will now surely outnumber Canadiens car flag here in Montreal...)

Blues could easily won this if Kings were not fortunate with the bounces. God I'm happy we got the bounces. Blues are by far the best team in this years Playoffs there is no one else to compare with.

Please give the team some rest now before next round.

Not used to seeing the Kings get outworked in the playoffs like that, last season they were skating fast everywhere and putting on lots of forecheck and neutral zone pressure. Luckily Quick is phenomenal (1.58 / .944, are you effing kidding me??) and we have the skill to counter-punch when we need to.

We're really gonna have to pick up the hustle and the high-pressure play going forward though.

i'm still speechless

I'll gladly give up home ice advantage to play the dux. It's taken 20 years for us to get the opportunity to play against them in the playoffs, and I don't want to wait 20 more years. Besides, this series would take the level of intensity and rivalry to a whole new level.

I hope the Ducks/Wings game goes to 7 OT so they're nice and tired!

Toffoli was so solid, I hope he ends up taking Dwight King's spot. King has been useless and the Richards-Carter line haven't done much. Toffoli will open things up, I guarantee that. Martinez so solid, once again. I'm happy Ellerby is out. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the Kings 4-0 without Ellerby?

IMO tonite they did a good job, and King was ok

2-2 with him and 2-0 without. Martinez is now 20-4. :thumbu:

16-4 last year and 4-0 this year.

That 3rd period of Game 4 was the most important period of the season for the Kings.

Hopefully the Kings can regroup with a couple days off. The Blues, from the drop of the puck of Game 1, were just all over every player, pretty much all the time. The Kings can't(they can, but, you know...) win another series if the skaters play the way they did for the most part. A lot of that was because of the Blues though.

The Kings pulled it out somehow(Quick), and maybe that's the one hill to climb before everyone gets back into a rhythm.

Dwight King has been invisible. No joke they have to drop him to the 4th line to play with Fraser and Nolan. I don't know how bad Clifford's injury is but Toffoli deserves a shot on the Richards-Carter line

Not to take anything away from the rest of the team, but Jonathan Quick took that series away from the Blues. If the two teams switched goaltenders we'd be talking about what Dean has planned for this summer.

If the two teams switched goaltenders Bernier would be starting and it would be a competitive series.

Even with the bad goals against in the first two games, quick's playoff stats are insane.

Back injury appears to be healed. :D

How about this ****ing team?

If they end up playing Anaheim, the one good thing about NBC taking over the broadcast is that we don't have to worry about having to potentially hear dumb and dumber (speaking for those of us outside of LA). Though I suppose Hayward worked for NBC last year, not sure if they would let him work this series.
