Post-Game Talk: Built. Different.

The Tkachuk family have a brand and they are better at selling it than anyone else. And the hockey media keeps falling for it.

Goes all the way back to their old man. Big, tough powerforward who disappeared in the playoffs like clockwork.
Yeah after that pathetic staged 4 nations fight where Hagel beat him up he's been "injured" selfishly sat on the bench entire gold medal game because of 10 second tiktok clips and he thinks he's larger than the team.

Florida really had nothing going even strength for 3 out of the 4 periods.

I actually agree because it’s clear as day was Bennett is doing there, bulldozing his way towards the net, knowing there’s gonna be some sort of contact with the defender and then falling forward into the goalie but I look at it from the point of view of an officiating stand point where they aren’t going to admit fault and overturn a call unless it’s blatantly obvious and the accidental clash of skates between Bennett and the Oilers player is all they need to uphold their initial.
Refs have had no problem overturning 10+ goals of Hyman's over the last couple of years for contact that was less than that or when he was blatantly pushed into the goalie.

Draisaitl 10/27 on the faceoff dot. Just a joke all around from the refs, through 3 rounds he was never officiated like that. Why not lay the rule book on Florida???

Hasn't that been a pretty common theme throughout the playoffs? Saw someone say they put McDavid and Drai together so Drai can try and cheat on the faceoff and when he gets kicked out Connor just takes it and he was 61.5% on the dot tonight.

For 31 teams: penalty

For Florida:

Thats a solid hockey play, no penalty. Keep playing or you'll get embellishment.

Playing them is an absolute disgrace. They get every ticky tack call, deliberation and when guys use their elbows, refs five feet away dont call shit. You guys know it, just dont get caught up on every little thing. Just beat these f***ers, put them out to pasture and watch their fanbase dwindle back down to 5k.

Goalie interference for 31 of 32 teams more accurately. Colin Campbell in charge of the war room while his son is the assistant GM for the Panthers means Sam Bennett gets the benefit of the doubt every time.
You would think that a player that knocked Stolarz out of that series, gave Andersen a deliberate hit to the head might have a bit of a rep with the league, but it's the exact opposite, he has impunity, and we all know why.
