**** yeah, I like your style

The Kings got their ass kicked twice that series, it was nothing like this one. The Kings straight out got ran over by a great team. Then they went out there and won 4 straight. Why can't that happen now?

If it doesn't happen, oh well, but if it does, I don't wanna read BS like "I knew the Kings would do this" or "I knew the Kings were better than the Blues." Nah, it's clear now, some of you have no faith in this team whatsoever. Even though they gave us our best moments as hockey fans it's time to stick the knives in after losing two road games. That makes me sick and it's embarrassing.

The margins are tight, the Blues made two better plays than the Kings did over two games, and that's that. Now the series comes to our turf where Kings fans can stand up and be counted and do the same thing Blues fans did in St. Louis.

I think we can win the next two at home. These games have been close despite St Louis stepping it up. We'll have the advantages at home (ie changes/matchups) that could be enough to turn the series around. I don't think we've seen the best this Kings team can play, but we've seen the best St Louis can play, and the games have stayed close.

Also, suit up Greene.

You'll get the same reaction I had in 2001 "How the **** did they do it?"

They got a 5 on 3 goal, big deal.

The PP has been good, no one is questioning that. But you need to be able to score 5 on 5, and the Kings aren't doing that. Largely because their first and second line centers have been terrible 5 on 5.

Yup.

Since April first, The Kings have been outscored 5 on 5, and the possession numbers have been dropping.

March may have killed this teams legs.

I can't figure out two things

1. How can Quick be our best and worst player at the same time

2. Why are we messing with the lines that made us so successful throughout the regular season

That series...Kings were up 2-0.

This series... Kings are down 2-0.

How are they at all related?

They could have gone either way, that's how.

You really think the Blues are going to beat us 4-0 in game 3? Think about it. Elliott is still Elliott, man. You guys all seem to be forgetting that.

Kopitar needs to be better, he has been completely invisible these first two games. Muzzin/Ellerby would be a shaky line in the AHL, yet alone in the NHL Playoffs. Team just doesn't seem to have anything close to the drive they had last year.

Oh, shut the hell up already.

Maybe you should read about how well he's covered on the ice. If your tactic is for all to come down on Kopitar, you have a problem. First line got a goal. Where were the other three? Gimme a break.

I'm sorry to say this to both of you, but it is NOT a coincidence that the only people defending Kopitar in this thread right now are Slovenians.

I didn't say the Kings are getting swept. I said the Kings are losing this series. They play really ****** hockey on the road and that's been a constant trend this season. They haven't won a road game in a month.

Some of you need to realize that Muzzin and Ellerby are rookies. Each of them played better than the last game. What were you expecting them to do come in and replace Martinez and Greene without anyone noticing?

Ellerby in an ideal situation would be the #7 right now and watching and learning. The Blues have scored 4 goals in a little over 2 games. The defense isn't exactly losing this series right now.

To have a chance, your best has to be their best. Up front, outside of Williams, Brown, and maybe Penner, who is getting the job done?

Offense starts from the Defense, Really good flawless breakouts.

Kings don't have that this year.

Blues fan here. Series definitely not over. Looking forward to Game 3. Hope that both teams can avoid the cheap shots that plagued this game (Perron, Brown on Schwartz). These are two big, physical teams that don't need the cheap/dirty hits in order to beat the other team.

Kopitar has been invisible for you guys; really, only Williams has been great. Schwartz, for us, has been unreal for a rookie. Good goalies, thus far, making every moment an edge of your seat moment.

I'd rather have a not-healthy Matt Greene than a 100% healthy Keaton Ellerby, so that's that. Same for Martinez, please put him in for Muzzin. Sutter going to get alot of heat for playing Ellerby-Muzzin together, and he deserves it.

Kings win the next two at home, where they had the best home record in the league, and it turns into a beat-of-3 series. They have to take the next two and win a ****ing road game.

Props to kings for already pulling a lakers and playing like elite self entitled jerks. 50% effort and still almost win again, lol. At least I can take solace knowing the Blues will never win a Stanley Cup as they put forth the 120% effort (again) but have 0 real skill.

Kings got what it takes but if they don't use it then it doesn't even matter.

oh yea, and **** ellerby.

I completely agree - the last two games have only been decided by a goal, it's not like you guys were completely blown out.

The Kings have the personnel and ability to do it, the series isn't over until it's over.

The score has been close, but the blues have controlled the play for 5 of the 7 periods. Games haven't really been that close. Blues deserve to be up 2-0.

Nothing says the kings can't win the next two, but i still don't see the kings winning a road game. Their defense gets exposed on the road. Most teams struggle without their best two defensive defensemen.
