The Kings got their ass kicked twice that series, it was nothing like this one. The Kings straight out got ran over by a great team. Then they went out there and won 4 straight. Why can't that happen now?

If it doesn't happen, oh well, but if it does, I don't wanna read BS like "I knew the Kings would do this" or "I knew the Kings were better than the Blues." Nah, it's clear now, some of you have no faith in this team whatsoever. Even though they gave us our best moments as hockey fans it's time to stick the knives in after losing two road games. That makes me sick and it's embarrassing.

The margins are tight, the Blues made two better plays than the Kings did over two games, and that's that. Now the series comes to our turf where Kings fans can stand up and be counted and do the same thing Blues fans did in St. Louis.

I seriously hope I'm making the right call going to game 3, if Quick, Brown, and Williams are the only ones who decide to show up I'd rather not waste the money.

Regular season records and stats should play no part in the playoffs.

We lost fair and score. We are being outplayed by the Blues. We really need to pick it up.

I don't understand why everyone keeps saying we're outplaying them? We're definitely not, St. Louis looks way better than us

Yup.

Since April first, The Kings have been outscored 5 on 5, and the possession numbers have been dropping.

March may have killed this teams legs.

I'll go on the record and say I am a big Kopi fan, but he has been terrible for much of this year. As far as Mike Richards goes, I think he is without question the most overrated player on this board. No one wants to look deeper into the numbers and see a huge chunk of his points came on the PP and he was on the ice for more GA than any forward on the team, leading to his team worst -8, on a team with a +15 differential.

All I heard when I brought this up was, "they will both flip the switch" once playoff comes. Well clearly that isn't the case. I think the last time Kopi scored was the game here in Chicago, feels like a lifetime ago.

Just thinking about Keith's and Lucic's comments after they won the cup- you win the big prize and that's it, it doesn't get better than the stanley cup. That's why you have to shuffle the lines with new names and do it all over.

This. People are acting like we are gassed. Or the stupid March excuse. it's this. Its not always a good thing to have the whole roster back.

How come all the trans-fans come out of the woodwork when things don't look so well? What is the matter with you people?

It's one thing to assess whether one team is better than the other. Both these teams are very close in method of play, size, and abilities. I think we have the better goalie. So we are down 2-0. Big deal, it still takes 4 games to win a series. 3 out of the next 4 are at home, and the Kings have been solid at home this season.

I sure wish all the naysayers would just get the **** out, especially if we win this series. Don't want to hear or see from any of you from here on in.

They're basically the exact same teams. Both struggling offensively, Blues have a great puck moving defense and the Kings are solid defensively as a team. It's two bounces that are the difference. One off Berglund's skate and Steen's first goal the other day rebounded straight to him. The Kings haven't had a single bounce yet. That could happen to either team this series the way its been played.

I didn't expect the Kings to win either of these two games anyway if I'm being honest. The road performances have been dire and if they ever were going to win one it would be later in the series.

I'm a big believer in roster turnover to guard against complacency, and if it comes time to discuss that later I'm happy to shoot the ****. But it isn't over right now.

Muzzin and Ellerby both need to be replaced by Greene and Martinez.

Bench King because he's ****ing useless.

Replace him with Toffoli.

I am so ready for this to happen, we really need a new look. Everyone pray to the hockey gods that Sutter can break his stubborn mold and try something like this...

Richards has lost all motivation, I can see that in his play, the guy came into the season out of shape, and hasn't looked good 5 on 5 at all this year.

Next season Richards will probably be back to normal.

That's not ********. I love Quick and have supported his play over Bernier all season, but Quick HAS to stop a shot like that.

There were numerous times the Kings couldn't get the puck behind the net. The Kings were going nowhere fast.

That game is not on him.

Boy, if this @LAKings game goes to overtime, I sure can't wait to see the Clippers game at the same time!

I blame Wil Wheaton for jinxing us.

Of course you are. You're a fan.. the fact that you are questioning it is kind of sad.

Yeah, when I wake up calmed down tomorrow ill probably think why did I say that? it's just depressing being so close in both games then collapsing in clutch time.

Muzzin has no business being on the ice that late in a tie game. Jeez you gotta pressure the passer there.

Kings have been playing like this most of the season. They get the lead and then stop playing with any intensity. I can't count how many scoring opportunities missed due to no one in front of the net! or just poor passing. These two loses are on Quick..But only after the Kings let the Blues back into the game...

They got a 5 on 3 goal, big deal.

The PP has been good, no one is questioning that. But you need to be able to score 5 on 5, and the Kings aren't doing that. Largely because their first and second line centers have been terrible 5 on 5.

Yup, one of the things that was designed to be a big strength has been a weakness in this series.

I can't read any more crap about Muzzin and Ellerby. Folks, two rookies are not losing this series for the Kings right now. If you think that is so, you need a reality check.

At least Richards and Carter have experience coming from behind... ;)

I'm upset, but that was a great ****ing hockey game. Can't question heart. Back and forth action. Two bad breaks and we're down 2-0 in the series. **** happens.

This team is playing without ALL THREE of it's defensive defensemen from last year...icing two rookies as the third pairing...and going head-to-head with these guys like it's no big deal. I'm not thrilled at the results yet, but I can't throw these guys under the bus. Part of the 'look' of us playing bad is the Blues playing very well. Don't you remember other teams saying that about us last year?

I also guarantee Kopi has some sort of surgery after the season. All the guy's strength and burst is gone right now and there is NO way it's just 'oh, whatever' on his part. Sucks, but that's the way it is. You can tell guys are just all banged up whether it's due to the March schedule or the Blues just abusing us at our own game right now.

^^^not making injury excuses, it's just reality.

That goal is on Quick for sure, the game is not. Bernier isn't coming in though. The Kings as a team just have to be better, it's simple as that.

Once we get to a third period and the Kings are playing exactly like that, a win probably won't happen. Kopitar has been unbelievably bad, not getting the puck deep, not generating anything offensively, etc. His two wingers tonight played their ass off and didn't get any help from their center.

Muzzin has to be out there because the Kings can't play four D. That's why the game on Tuesday was being taken over by the Kings, because the Blues were playing four D in OT. LA has to try to get matchups out there against Polak and Jackman.

Kopitar no more vacations in Slovenia, you're ass needs to be in LA, training with PROFESSIONALS not family members.

Yeah, he really needs to be here this summer doing the same work as Stoll, Lewis, and Carter did last off season.
