At least we won't get any adversity ******** like last year. This will pretty much cover it all, lol. Well, I hope :D

I'm going to be very depressed about this until probably Thursday. Unless they lose again. You'd think that after them winning the Cup last year, I'd be immune to this kind of disappointment. I need anger management.

I feel like the Cup has mellowed me out more as a fan. If this were last year before we won, I would have already torched half of my neighborhood down (figuratively, of course). Now, it'll probably just make me bitter until Thursday.

After that game, I think the Kings are going to get swept. They looked lifeless for about 5 to 6 games now.

I think that 17 game March really took it out of them.

The sharks had the same problem last year. They never recovered from a brutal 17 game month.

Sucked all the way into the playoff's.

I think the Desire is there, but not the legs. The hitting part of the Kings game has vanished as well.

That's quite the overreaction

...and yet they out hit the Blues 41-38

Same.

The Cup win pretty much took all the emotion out of me.

I have been alive now to see The A's win the World Series, Kings cup, Rams Superbowl....

Pretty good run for me.

Not worried about Kings losing, this core is young and signed. There is always next year.

The Kings started responding physically in the 2nd period, but they couldn't gain traction zone wise until about 10:00 left in the third.

I have faith things will be better on Thursday. If the Blues play as good I'll tip my hat, but I dunno. That was a dominating performance.

Sutter still deserves blame for the loss, his lines made no sense beside Williams-Richards-Brown. He needs to go back to what works, and I have no idea how he can justify playing Ellerby anymore. Hopefully this helps wake Kopi back up too.

This is the most embarrassed I've been as a Kings fan in a long time. I can't even believe how pathetic that was because HE'S NEVER ****ING IMPROVED ON IT AND HE STILL TRIES TO HANDLE THE PUCK.

Must not have been a fan during the 2011 playoffs?

That was embarrassing.

I think he called Terry and asked for tips.;)

I
And I don't think the Kings were outplayed like several here have said. The Blues had their chances, but the Kings did too. Playoff hockey is 1-0 and 2-1 scores - and you obviously just can't give away goals. And OT was going the Kings way.

Look on the bright side, that was probably the worst Quick will look all playoffs.

Get real, the Kings were outplayed big time for all of regulation. The only reason the game went to OT was because of Quick, so it's fitting he blew it the way he did.

Kings miss Mitchell and Greene.....Muzz and Turnoverbee don't cut it.

Kopitar is still injured most likely, he has been a perimeter player all year.

People just ignored it cause he was still putting up points.

But you really start to see it when the games get tight.

This. Most of the goals Quick lets up come in the same manners but I won't even begin to bring up that debate now. But the fact of the matter is he has not gotten better on it in the 4-5 years or whatever that he's been here. And its now cost us TWO playoff games. I don't blame goalies unless they deserve it because being one myself, I know how awful it is feeling guilty for losing a game. But....that HAS to be fixed.

Ok, add up all the games that Quick has lost because of bad stickhandling. Great, now add up all the games he's saved for this team by doing everything else. I think I'll take that trade.

He's not good at puck handling, he should get better at it, but he hasn't. Maybe he's just unable to. You think he hasn't tried with the amount of work he puts into everything else? But I'm willing to look at the goaltender he is and what he does out there every game and deal with that issue. Nobody's perfect.

And again, what about all the other Kings standing around while Steen skated in on Quick and stripped the puck. They got the powerplay and they took their foot off the gas and they paid for it.

Been watching the replays. That whole sequence was an embarrassment. It was brutal, and costly. Playoff game in OT, on the PP. You cannot defend that.

Can't lose two in a row in the playoffs, unless you're already leading. Thursday's game is already a must win. Going into the series LA needed to STEAL a game @ St. Louis. Tonight was a prime example of a perfect opportunity. They weathered the home team's storm and was able to take it to extra time. St. Louis wouldve been shook up if they lost.

Well that sucked ass. To lose like that is a kick in the balls. Overall had a great time, most people were pretty cool. Had one idiot sitting behind us in a suite who started off with just annoying taunts "LA Queens" etc. but then got progressively ruder towards me and my gf. I finally had enough and when he taunted me as I was leaving I showed him my phone wallpaper (which is Drew holding the cup) and asked him if knew what that was. I then pointed up to the rafters and complimented him on those division championship banners. I hate being that guy, hated when Ducks fans used the cup card, but it felt so good.

Seriously, Quick. We're blaming QUICK?! The guy that made 40 saves tonight? The only reason they got to OT in the first place? The guy who was ****ing flipping all over the ice every time our defense wet themselves in front of him? You have got to be ******** me. You people are insane.

We were completely dominated tonight. One goal tonight is all we could muster. Just pathetic from the forwards to the defensemen to the coaching. But not Jonathan Quick. Just stop.

We all love Quick. He gave us a chance to win. With that said, with all due respect to him, if there was ever a chance to blame someone for a loss that was it.

There was no logical or illogical explanation that could describe what Quick could have been thinking there. Richards was alone along the boards waiting for a pass and DD was the same on the other side. He didn't even have to pass it tape to tape. He could have slid it along the boards to either. Quick was acting like he was surveying the D like he was going to breakout pass but he was behind the net. He had the puck forever as if he was going to skate the puck out. Steen wasn't even going to pressure him until Quick was just sitting with it. I've spent the last 30 minutes trying to understand what he could have wanted to do there and the answer is that there was nothing he could have done right.

We'll get the next two though.

He doesn't look right when he's skating up the ice, like hes missing a step or something, and all the strength that he has possessing the puck is gone. I do think he is hurt maybe it's still his knee, but I hope Sutter realizes maybe he shouldnt be getting as many shifts with the first line (I sound a little hypocritical here when I just said Sutter needs to bring the regular lines back) but it was a bummer watching Carter not be able to do anything cause Kopi couldn't get him the puck.

On another positive note, looks like Blues can't score much. I think if Sutter puts the old lines back together, we can cause them trouble.

Pretty much

I think they're out there for comedy relief, as there is usually a comedy of errors when those two are out there. It's like the Abbot and Costello of hockey.

Obviously Sutter got bored going up 3-0 every series. He wanted a challenge this time around.

THIS!

Ellerby is absolutely terrible. He looks so indecisive with the puck. And then the line situation, what is Sutter drunk? I can see switching it up when Brown was out, but, WHY NOW?!?!

It's not preseason, it's the ****ing playoffs.
