Yeah for such a stellar game, I couldn't believe he was sitting there like he was going to quarterback the PP. We had a great chance to win the game, and Quick tries to get cute. Every chance to win is extremely important. A win like this gets the 800 pound gorilla off the Blues back.

:laugh::laugh::laugh: :cry::cry::cry:

First, all credit to the Blues for how they played nearly perfectly the whole first three periods. Impressive. They came ready, and executed.

Second, all credit to the Kings for not giving up, and how they played the end of the third and all but the last few seconds of OT. I think they exposed they fact that as the game wears on they can capitalize on wearing down the Blues. Blues are going to need to build more than a one goal lead going into the third to win more games.

I blame a large part on Quick, yes because that was stupid, but really, that's on the team. NO ONE back in support? And what the HELL were they doing on that power play? Talk about lackadaisical.....what a crap effort. NOBODY was hustling. Right before it happened I said to my wife "I don't even like that it's a double minor, they're acting like they have all the time in the world". Then BAM! OVER!

Poor Penner, had a great game, and then gave them a great chance to win in the OT. They owe him, even more than they owe Quick for keeping them in it in regulation.

It's like Quick was just about to steal the game, had it 3/4 of the way out of StL's pocket, and then he had a pang of guilt and put it back.

Sigh. Can't be too mad at Quick since he was the reason it went into OT instead of ending 17-1, but he was the one who made the incredibly bad fatal mistake while we had momentum in OT, too.

It doesn't matter how we played before. We played 59.5 bad minutes of hockey and still went to OT. Yes, there are a LOT of bad things and Quick was great up until that but the fact of the matter is we were in the game at that point and on a powerplay when that happened. I'm not just piling all the blame on Quick but we were in it until that. We'd have had 3 minutes more of PP time to win it but we didn't get the chance. Not all on Quick but that is 100000% UNACCEPTABLE.

Of course it is. Not saying otherwise.

But I sure hope the Kings play better because those 59.5 minutes were a joke. I'd like to know where our 6.8m center has went, for one. The guy has ****ing vanished into thin air.

Watching the replay, Quick's pass attempt was tipped by Steen's stick which is why it had a strange bounce off the boards.

Surely Quick shoulders some of the blame for basically waiting still Steen was in his face before deciding to move it, but I'm wondering where the hell were the other LA players.... :help:

On the boards, not supporting, that was a big problem tonight...

The Blues dominated the boards, also ha fantastic puck support.

A loss i was okay with... but to have a 4 min PP in OT and do that?? F'in Brutal

It was a new way to lose a game in OT, that's for sure.

The Kings were starting to move the puck really well in OT, and I was getting a bit excited to see them win the game next rush up the ice. Oh well.

I kinda look to the other skaters for a bit of blame on why none of them were back there to get the puck from Quick, but all Quick had to do was shoot the puck along either boards to a teammate - if they get a rush past the forechecker, they could have had an outnumbered attack.

And I don't think the Kings were outplayed like several here have said. The Blues had their chances, but the Kings did too. Playoff hockey is 1-0 and 2-1 scores - and you obviously just can't give away goals. And OT was going the Kings way.

Look on the bright side, that was probably the worst Quick will look all playoffs.

As great as Quick was, he's the goat more than anyone else, and he knows it. And he will bounce back from it. Beauty about being the road team is that you get two shots at the split.

No more Ellerby either. I don't care if it's not Martinez's side.

How many times have we seen Quick make this same mistake?

This. Most of the goals Quick lets up come in the same manners but I won't even begin to bring up that debate now. But the fact of the matter is he has not gotten better on it in the 4-5 years or whatever that he's been here. And its now cost us TWO playoff games. I don't blame goalies unless they deserve it because being one myself, I know how awful it is feeling guilty for losing a game. But....that HAS to be fixed.

I really hope this activates some type of "Terminator" like focus in Quickie, but with how unstable he was for 2/3rds of the season....I guess we'll just have to wait and see on Thursday.

Yep. Quick is his biggest critic and we should all know that by now. I'm surprised the Kings made it that far. I expect a win and nothing else.

I'm going to be very depressed about this until probably Thursday. Unless they lose again. You'd think that after them winning the Cup last year, I'd be immune to this kind of disappointment. I need anger management.

After that game, I think the Kings are going to get swept. They looked lifeless for about 5 to 6 games now.

I think that 17 game March really took it out of them.

The sharks had the same problem last year. They never recovered from a brutal 17 game month.

Sucked all the way into the playoff's.

I think the Desire is there, but not the legs. The hitting part of the Kings game has vanished as well.

not as many this year as the year before - but this was only a 48 game season ... :sarcasm:

How can he stand there and look at the puck?!? W T F !!! Just move it already! If your teammates blow it from there, that's on them.

Move the puck already and get back in net ffs
