I said my peace last game, but I still never thought it would be THIS bad.

Also, I think there are people on this board who really enjoy seeing other people talk about blowing up the team, and that makes me really upset. You should never want to blow up a team, and if you do see it necessary you shouldn't take joy in it.

Ultimately, Lombardi needed to save-scum. Playing on ironman was the worst decision ever.

Not sure I agree. Quick and Kopitar will be a year older. Doughty will have one year left on his deal. And this season showed how woefully insufficient the depth is, even from players that are supposed to be primary and secondary scorers. Blake managed it correctly to this point, but the holding pattern just lets this core age more and slip further past their respective primes. There’s no cavalry coming.

From the standpoint of not bleeding assets? Sure.

From the standpoint of winning in this core’s window (which actually ended in 2016 shh)? Not really.
 
I have argued with ziggy and others to the point of him calling me a troll once because I am a giant homer but I was wrong this is clearly the end of our run with the likes of cliffy, Lewis ,toffoli, and Pearson its like we play shorthanded all the time and I would include others but it's like at least they tried . It's time for the very least a retool and let's hope this villardi kids is as good as he looks and we can get someone like Connor kid with Winnipeg with our black hole pick sorry can't remember other points I am self medicating with scotch and potato chips I love and hate this team Go Kings Go have had too many of these kind of finishes in 5 decades

Blake learned under Dean. He was Dean's assistant just like Hextall.

The jury is still out on Blake, but so far I think he's pointed the franchise in the right direction, and that's what matters most.

I highly doubt Lombardi could have built a cup team if it wasn't him walking into a situation with Kopitar, Brown and Quick already being here.

Someone mentioned that we had Turgeon as an offensive/pp specialist/consultant of some form earlier in the season; when was the last time you heard his name?

All I know is Stevens' terrible decisions are very visible in a way I haven't seen since Marc Crawford.

Judging by some of the comments on the Facebook page apparently there is still a group of fans that are somehow still buying what the team is selling. One guy even said the future is bright with guys like Fantenberg LOL

What's Stevens suppose to say ? He is a players coach, that the players wanted. He is not going to throw any of them under the bus.

They say he's doing a presser, I can hear a sort of murmer, but visually it's indistinct.

He's a player's coach, as Damacles has said many times. At least Sutter would have called people out, and lit a fire under the players asses.
