GDT: WCQF Game 4, (1) Vegas Golden Knights vs (WC1) LA Kings @7:30 VGK lead series 3-0

Who's everyone rooting for now? Or just don't care?

I don't care but I hope Pittsburgh wins again.

any way you paint it, 3 goals in 4 games is embarrassing.

Just blow it all up while guys are riding high value. Keep a leader or two to teach the youth.

Keep Kopitar and Doughty. And send the rest off to wherever the f***.

The effort was fine, I have no issues with the heart out there. I have issues with the talent/finish. In a weird way, I'm proud that a lot of these guys went down fighting, so their last Kings game isn't a total embarrassment from a "do they care" standpoint.

The effort was there.

Fleury had an easy series, though. Very few grade A scoring chances this series, and two of the best were this third period tonight (Kopitar in the slot and Brown in the slot). Other than that, fleury had it pretty easy. Just had to make relatively routine saves. Not trying to take away from him because he saved the shots he was faced with, but let’s not pretend that he stole this series.

“This was similar to 2011-2012 when the boys struggled, but Quickie kept them in it, we know how that ended! We feel good about our chances with a full year of a healthy Carts. We’re contenders.” - Luc, tomorrow and 1,000,000 times this summer.

This staff was putrid. Are you kidding me? The offense in this series was a disgrace. A different staff would have made a difference.

But here’s the thing, the players picked the coach. They ran the old regime out of town and look at how they play. At some point you have to look at the players and I fault the front office for that when changes were being made last season.
My point is that repairing the franchise takes time, and there's only so much you can do in 10 months. It starts with bringing young players into the organization and I think Blake has done a good job on that front so far. He didn't squander any futures for this result. Unlike DL in 2015.

When Kopitar went full running back through the VGK to get that look in the slot I figured that was the last gasp. Didn't realize that was literally the last ounce of energy he had, heh.

Kopitar played 24:21, more than anyone but Nate Schmidt or Drew Doughty. Ouch

The amount of people willing to buy that garbage just dwindled down close to zero, good luck with that Luc.

God you make me so angry in such a tingly-good way.

I certainly hope a number of guys on this team appeared in their last game in a Kings uniform. Individually, there were players who gave us hope and gave us a reason to watch, but as a team, we knew deep down this team wasn’t going to accomplish much, and mission accomplished there.

This still counts as a failure that adds to this long stretch of getting nothing done.

Absolute monster this year. Too bad he had no help.

Remember when we were laughing at Sens fans about how they blew it with Karlsson? Well after this we've blown it with Doughty.

I'm pretty much rooting for every building to collapse.

Maybe WPG or Boston since they're about the only teams that doesn't have a rivalry with us (VGK, SJ, ANA, NJ) or shittalk us for no reason whatsoever (Pens, TO, Philly). f*** Nashville especially for helping the rat style of whining and diving to prominence.

Edit: oh yeah! TBL. Or I could get on board with a Colorado miracle or at least taking down nashville. Guess there's more than I thought.
