I think the Kings intentionally played three 7-game series to generate more revenue for Uncle Phil so he won't be as mad at DL when he buys out Richards this summer.Oh and so they have some extra funds to sign Gaborik this summer too.
Just get a Kickstarter going for Gabby, I'll put in monies.
Anyone have a footage of Nickson's call?
Alright I found it.

Just picked up my locker room hat and shirt. **** yeah.
is it just me or do numbers on the arms read 34 | 43 ?![]()
Personally I like the hat a lot more than the 2012 one. It's really well made. I took off the New Era sticker, so sorry to my prison buddies for the sacrilege. The shirt is your typical busy locker room thing, but I wanted it. When I went around lunch time you could only get the hat from the cashier, so don't panic like I did looking all over the store for it like a crackhead. Is it awesome?

I'm hoping to get another plaque too.

I didn't see them there. I may have to get one of those online. That's really cool man!
Why didn't you get a hoodie? I want a hoodie lol.
The New Era sticker literally makes or breaks a hat.
NHL.com has a really cool Finals one I might pick up.

The only thing I was looking forward to if the Kings lost was shaving this friggin beard. I've never had a beard this long. When the Kings won in 2012, I trimmed it a bit along the way to keep it respectable. This time I've shaved my neck but I haven't cut any of the actual beard hair and it is mangy as all hell. I seriously look like a hobo.
I'm in the no visible sticker club. The only ones I leave are the holographic SC logo under the brim.
I was thinking about things today and have come to the conclusion that while the Kings won I would say that it truly was a case of the team that scored the last goal won the series and not a case where the best team ended up winning.
Happy my Kings won and absolutely believe they should have but the Hawks could also just as easily have done so too. I mean I know all of this is no brainer stuff but it took me a few hours of critical thinking to really get my head around how evenly matched out two teams ended up being.
To me that is a huge compliment to both teams. We Kings fans absolutely hold (most of us anyways) the Hawks in high regards and see them as the best team in the league so for us to end up winning a game 7 against them in OT puts us at least at their level this season and that is a big deal or at least it was to me.
Now we have to win the cup and prove that we were the right team to get there.

Not sure if this has been posted before, here is Nick Nickson's call of the tying and winning goals.

Went to Lowe's today to pick up a few things and when I was checking out the employee working there commented on my shirt and hat (Quick player shirt and Chevy logo cap). He was an elderly man that was semi-retired. He said he's been a Hawks fan for 65 years. This is what I think of when I think of a real Hawks fan. He told me that he never thought the Hawks would win a Stanley Cup in his adult lifetime and that he had always dreamed to go to the HHOF. His wife surprised him in 2010 with a week trip to the HHOF and a private meet and greet with Stan Bowman and Joel Quenneville after the clinching game in Philly. He also said that this series was the best he's seen in his entire life and that all his friends and family were onboard the Kings bandwagon after last night. They all support Kings and have the utmost respect for them. I told him we're all scared of the Hawks.
Luckily no one was in line so we chatted for a bit while I ate the Snickers I bought. When I walked away he said everyone in his family is rooting for the Kings, wished us the best, and wanted us to go kick the Rangers ass. Just a real classy guy.
