The second Stanley Cup final in three years, this is all so surreal. I mean the highlight of the previous decade is a lone playoff upset and now we're in the FINALS AGAIN. This is history.

Not sure if this has been posted before, here is Nick Nickson's call of the tying and winning goals.

That's for positing this, both calls gave me tingles the whole time, even now almost 24 hours later. I have a special love for Nickson. He's the one who let me wear his ring. We had a laugh about how it beats any ring a man will ever give me and shared some stories about how good 2012 felt. Love that these guys are getting another year of amazing memories to add to the books.

Watching Apple's WWDC conference from earlier today. Sad Shaw fan spotting in the crowd.

I take back everything I said in the Game 6 Post Game. Every time I think these guys are out, they pull me back in, wow. Never cease to amaze me. Dean Lombardi is something else, what a genius. Remember when people thought Gaborik was done and that we missed out on Vanek, Moulson, etc?

Side note: How good was watching Kopitar vs Toews? Wow, the two best 200FT centres in the NHL? Yes please. A regular fan had to enjoy that series, probably the best hockey you'll see in a very long time but as a Kings fan it was nerve racking as hell! Love these guys.

Kopitar didn't register a single goal. Disappointing performance imo.

You just became my second favorite team by knocking off the Hawks.....Best of luck to you guys and your great team . Hope to meet next year !

At even strength, Kopitar had 4 points and was +1. Toews had 4 ES points and went -2. I'd call that mission accomplished.

And he wasn't scoring, but his linemates were. His work on the ice contributed to Brown and Gaborik cashing in.

Did Toews have two goals and assists?

He was too busy blackholing Toews. Works for me.

But if we're looking at it as mediocre series production wise from Quick and Kopitar, they're due for a big bounce back. I'll take it.

I have been a fan if you guys for years. I expected you guys to come out of the East.

Some of us were talking about how this Conference Finals was as close as the 1993 series against the Leafs.

Similar to Game 7 on Sunday, that game also ended 5-4.

3G, 1A actually. Almost all of which came in losing efforts, funnily enough.

If I remember correctly 2 came in the 1st period of game 3 when sutter brain farted and didn't match kopi with him. The other goal was that fluke PP goal in game 7. Kopi definately held that line in check. Hell hossa never had a goal either.

The refs were fixing a rut in the ice that the Kings coincidentally pointed out after icing the puck after a long shift, Quick did his part in the repairs and offered his water bottle :)

This is actually the truth of what happened . . . I hate to break the developing myth of what happened, but the reality is Quick was offering water which is usually what is added to compacted snow by linesmen/refs in fixing excessive ruts in the ice. I don't think it was nearly as strategic as people want to believe.
