Pearson's gotten very sheltered minutes thess whole playoffs.Anyone else notice that King had 5 more minutes of ice time than Pearson did? What the hell Sutter?
The third line did some great things early in this game, but I saw way way way to much of 74-28-14-13-10-22 on the ice with a chance to eliminate the Hawks tonight, and ultimately the fourth line ends up out there for 3 goals against.
Everytime it appears Sutter is ready to just let the younger players free a little bit he falls back to the veteran players.

I agree. Like damacles said you need to roll 4 lines so the top 6 isn't gassed, but I would've at least double shifted 11-12-23 and 77-70-73. Having a line playing under 15 minutes and being a minus 3 is unacceptable.
I think this just continues to show how the bottom 6 needs to be fixed this off-season.
Well, I'm okay with it as well. I'll just shoot Darryl a text and give him the green light.Right, but I think he's proved he can handle big minutes in this series.

I think Lewis will bounce back, he rarely is that bad on Defense. He just had a terrible game.
Clifford is another story, Mike Richards was fine, but it's apparent his conditioning is not up to snuff, his shifts were like 25 secs max.
That Jumbled lines pretty bad tonight, I know why Richards is getting off the ice, but man that kind of killed the flow for that line.

The Top six looked gassed even with the Ice time spread, the solution is not to ice them more.
I wish Kopitar/Carter could play 35 minutes a game, he can't. Unfortunately the Kings have to roll four lines to keep people fresh. We have to hope the bottom six keeps its head above water and doesn't hurt the Kings.
You can't make this a two line team, that is what has pretty much put the Hawks in the hole they are in (making themselves a two line team).
Richards did a very good job tonight keeping his shifts short, but it left the lines a little jumbled and when Richards left the ice, that Fourth line got exposed.

So who do you guys want to see matched up against Saad-Shaw-Kane? Handzus isn't a regular on that line and will likely be centering Sharp and Versteeg.
We know Kopitar's line is going to match up against Toews, and for most of the night it was Stoll's line out whenever Kane was on the ice.
How come other teams can do it, how can Chicago bench Versteeg and Bollig and give their icetime to higher end players when the time calls for it.
I am not saying roll three lines every game, but when you are in OT perhaps it's not a good idea to end up with those three guys who have had major issues keeping the puck out of their own net and had already allowed two goals earlier to be matched up against Kane and Saad who were the two best players on the ice for Chicago. And if you do insist on playing them make sure most of their shifts are with 8 and 6. The fourth line was on for three goals and 8/6 weren't on for any of them, the Hawks won this game because they exposed our biggest weakness. It will be tougher to do in LA, but if the Kings somehow can't close it out Friday, the game plan for a potential game 7 has to be looked at.

Fatigue will be a factor in LA for Chicago, you can bet on that.
Doubtful. They have one full day of rest and most of Friday as well. Practices will be light affairs.
Now if they have to do an OT on Friday maybe you are right.
I still love you all. Even KK.
It was funny the first time. Now it's just stupid.
