No clue on why he made changes when things worked last game. Kopi should not have moved up to 1st. Love Kopitar, but he isn't skating like normal.

Because it wasn't working in the game as it was progressing. The Kings had nothing going, so you try and find something. Guys with energy with guys with energy. Players moving their feet with guys that are just coasting. Something to try and create a spark. Maybe Kopitar has a good shift.

At this point, the Kings don't have any numbered lines. Kopitar didn't get moved to the 1st line. Williams didn't get moved to the 4th. They're throwing what they can at the wall to see if anything sticks.

I know it means nothing...(serious question) Which last team won the SC and followed by making the Western Conference final that next year? Was it the Red Wings?

King's ice time isn't because Sutter just loves the hell out of him. I'm all for taking an honest look at Sutter's decisions this playoffs, but this is what he has to work with on LW:

Penner, who, sure, ramps up his physicality in the playoffs, but hasn't been a point producer of any kind since he came to LA

Richardson, watches most of the games from the pressbox

Clifford, who does one thing well, hits

Brown, who's not even a natural LW and is prone to his own invisibility spells

We have a laughingstock of NHL ready LWers and that's been our issue since ****ing Cammalleri and Frolov skipped town.

Really?

What the **** is Sutter supposed to do when Kopitar and brown and playing like third liners? No Richards either. Jesus.

Penner-Carter-Toffoli were the only ones playing. That other 9 forwards were trash out there. Sutter was just hoping for something.

Quick gave up a **** goal too in the first. Should have been 2-0 when Penner scored.

This was a complete team loss.

I will only panic if Kopitar has nothing wrong physically. If that is the case, dean better tell him that there is no summer vacation in Slovenia. He needs to take his conditioning seriously.

Even at 100%, the hawks are possibly the better team. They are clearly the better team against the battered kings team we are watching. SJ has go be kicking themselves that they lost to this mash unit.

Bickell is going to cash in. Wonder if sather will give him a huge contract?

Agree with all of this ^^^^^^^^

Anyone else think the team is becoming too slow again, like they were a few years ago? The team has a lot of big men, they're all required to skate hard, and they look completely gassed. I'm serious here, this is something that needs to analyzed in the off-season regardless of what happens this year.

Anyway, series ain't over till it's over. Get a road win, and it's back at Staples.

It's become silly to blame king, regehr and Muzzin for the kings not advancing to the Stanley cup final.

It's all on brown and Kopitar. Doesn't matter the excuse, the fact is that they haven't got it done this season.

meh, at least Brown and Kopitar aren't actively hurting the team like Regehr.

Should play Kopitar on defence instead of him

DL??? Why is he to blame??? He's not the one that makes the lineup and gives King 2nd and 3rd line time?

Clifford would be a much better option than King. And if not, you can have Richie there. There are other options than King.

DL knows where Sutter plays King, if he thought it was time to make a change, he would have made a trade. It's really simple. Richardson is a better option than King, no argument. Clifford is not, he's one of the worst players on this team and for some reason people love him. He does nothing but take terrible penalties the more ice time he gets.

The Kings are tired and beaten up.

Raging about it is kind of pointless. They gave it all last season and gave us the Stanley Cup. Back then, we said "just one and I will be happy!"

A few good things, Toffoli is learning and going to be great and Carter has taken a leadership role and is going to be even better next year.

100% on Dean Lombardi and not Sutter....Sutter may fill out the line card....But he doesn't draft, or trade for the players.

Some thoughts

As mention Regehr was bad but we don't pay him to take over games. 11 and 23 have been brutal and according to MayorsManer on XM today they don't appear hurt, so who knows.

Doughty in my mind has been a shell of what his potential can wield. He is playing with no offensive creatively or without that burning prickish edge he needs. I really thought he may bring it in the third but nothing.

Not going to get on Quick cause he has been everything all playoffs. Offense needs to start bailing him out.

Voynov's play may just cause us all kinda cap problems so it's a good thing 73 will help fill a cheap top 6 role.

Just very disappointed. It's like the Cup hangover is hitting us this series.

Who's fault is it that King played every ****in' game on the 2nd and 3rd line??? Just what did King bring to any game of the series???

There's nobody else there to put in.

I don't think you can blame Lombardi for any lack of deadline moves either. What scoring LWers were traded? To get one, who are you going to trade? No 1st round pick this year. Toffoli? Voynov?

Who do you want in the game instead? Pearson who did jack in his playoff appearance? Clifford who got first line ice time and stunk?

DL is to blame for the Dwight King situation, nobody else. The Kings should have traded for a depth forward, they have zero on left wing and it came back to bite the team in the ass.

Hey. Pearson played 5 minutes. Lets not act like we gave any new blood into the line up.

Darryl Sutter did ******. Bad line changes, when the **** is he gonna learn to manage his team better.

I am okay with getting tossed out. Sutter went stupid putting the first line together for some reason in the 3rd.

If we want to win game 5, the Kings have to show brass balls and insert some young guns to try to get this team going. Because we have nothing now.

And Trade Regehr.

I would love to hear Sutters reasoning on that awful line change that killed our momentum...

The players are responsible for getting off the ice at correct times.

The coaches don't call them off the ice when a scoring chance is developing against them.

That was the players on the ice screw up.

They may not have enough to not try and win 2-1.

Kings had a PP when they were up 2-1 in the 2nd, and just like every other PP they have been on it was Doughty bringing the puck to the middle and passing to VV for a one-timer which usually ended up hitting either Frolik or Kruger's shin pads.

What is going through Payne's mind with this PP, I had flashbacks to Kompon's early years and the PP being run through Stoll and the constant one-timers off the glass, this PP was just as ineffective, atleast Stoll's shots were getting through.

There is zero creativity at all on the PP. Look where they have Carter positioned for gods sake, the Kings had VV, Doughty and Carter all above the circles for a good chunk of that PP. A PK of myself, LITN, Ziggy Stardust and Kurri could defend that.

Oh ya and it's not over. We have won 3 games in a row lots. Maybe our stars will finally show up.

He managed them all the way to a Stanley Cup and Western Conference Finals. I think that's just fine. To be totally honest we are lucky to be here. We've been worse than two of the three teams we've played, equal to the other, better than none.

One word......Richards
