DL knows where Sutter plays King, if he thought it was time to make a change, he would have made a trade. It's really simple. Richardson is a better option than King, no argument. Clifford is not, he's one of the worst players on this team and for some reason people love him. He does nothing but take terrible penalties the more ice time he gets.

That's a silly argument. Trying to deflect blame on Sutter and on to DL. That's just nonsense. There's really no comparison between Clifford and King. Clifford may not have had a good series with his penalties, but he played better than King. Clifford also adds energy, whereas King sucks the energy right out of you with his lethargic play. He's big and pretty much worthless.

TL is right, LA isn't a hockey town. Who cares. We all know LA has one of the most diehard and passionate fanbases in the league, but there aren't very man of us.

Decades of dominance and the trendy factor have made LA the Lakers and then everyone else.

I'm not really deflecting, I think they've both done a good job.

Clifford has taken 4 penalties, King has taken one. King also has more points than Clifford. So what has Clifford done for the team exactly? King has thrown just as many hard hits as Clifford (1). They both probably are not good enough to play for this team in anything more than a fourth line role. That's a fair statement. Both of them have tried to play as more this year and failed at it.

He managed them all the way to a Stanley Cup and Western Conference Finals. I think that's just fine. To be totally honest we are lucky to be here. We've been worse than two of the three teams we've played, equal to the other, better than none.

We are lucky to be here, its not anything he actually did. I'd give him credit if we didnt get dominated in most of the games these series. I give the line up credit for managing to get wins. I give the team credit, not sutter.

I am a critic of Richards 5 on 5 play, but I will admit the Kings missed him greatly on the PP. But that is still no excuse for the coaching staff's total lack of adjustments on the PP this entire series. You still have Doughty, Carter, Voynov, Williams, Toffoli, Penner etc.

How with the season on the line and one last PP can you continue to run the same pathetic plays that have failed all series.

This team looks so tired, their thrid period of almost evey game has looked horribly slow (except when the skip the first 2). The NHL didn't help with that back to back. I wish we could have had a 2 day break somewhere.

Yeah. Made it back to the finals. However the Kings have managed to do it, they've gotten further in the season after winning the Cup than most in recent history.

I would love to hear Sutters reasoning on that awful line change that killed our momentum...

What momentum?

Anyone else think the team is becoming too slow again, like they were a few years ago? The team has a lot of big men, they're all required to skate hard, and they look completely gassed. I'm serious here, this is something that needs to analyzed in the off-season regardless of what happens this year.

Anyway, series ain't over till it's over. Get a road win, and it's back at Staples.

It's almost the same team as last year. They were quick(not fast) last year, but in the playoffs this year they haven't been all that quick. They haven't moved or gotten to the puck quickly. The Kings aren't going to look good when that happens, because they're not overly talented.

meh, at least Brown and Kopitar aren't actively hurting the team like Regehr.

DL is to blame for the Dwight King situation, nobody else. The Kings should have traded for a depth forward, they have zero on left wing and it came back to bite the team in the ass.

One winger is still not going to help this team win the series. I don't think this is anyone's fault. Kopi and Brown have nothing. Richards is hurt. The regular third line has scored one goal the entire playoffs. Last year they had one regular player without a goal in the playoffs. This year they have nine players who have gone without a goal.

The best DL could've done was get a 2nd line LW and that's not going to help us that much. I don't think anyone was expecting last year's playoffs' top two forwards and our best defenseman to have 16 points through 17 games. It sucks, not much you can do about it.

The Hawks have had a PK at 96% the whole season.....Guys their PK is like good.

I'm just very excited to see the future of Toffoli. I think he's going to be a stud and it really makes up for us taking Forbort in the 1st that year. I don't know what the deal is with Penner, if the Kings want to re-sign him but it's obvious that they still need some help on the wing. Dwight King is useless.
