I have to say I am disappointed in the Oilers....I expected a much better fight from them in this series....but the Avs are showing they are on another level to be sure......
Edmonton are a bunch of pretenders who got easy matchups in the first 2 rounds and they BARELY made it out of the first against a kings roster that's a mixture of old and inexperienced players and no Doughty.

Avs are clearly the better team and have done a good job taking ice away from McDavid. The reason Oilers get so many penalties is because they commit so many infractions. If anything the refs are giving them a break with volume discounts here.
Agreed. I didn't see a single call tonight that was reasonably questionable. It was just a bunch of stupid stuff by the Oilers, Nugent Hopkins grabbing a stick right in front of the referee, Draisaitl high sticking, etc., etc. If you're going to play with a beer league level of discipline, you're going to be spending a lot of time in the box.

You think Mackinnon left 5m on the table?

No, he signed a contract for what he was worth at the time.

I’m guessing you just started watching hockey

That Makar interview on TNT lol.. Some B: How did you shut them down?
Cale: Idk, rezone your ahole in about an hour here.

lmao love it

You think he was worth 11.3m a year? after putting up a 52 point season?

And Mackinnon has yet to sign his next contract, are you new to hockey?

Yeah 2 games have been 1 goal games. This isn’t domination. Avs are clearly better but it’s not the landslide you’d think it was by reading HF mains.
And game 2 was won during an apocalyptic 3-minute breakdown. The Avs are easily the better team, but they are having to work and execute at a very high level to be here. Kuemper being out is probably a blessing in disguise for them too.

Have they said anything on the nature of Kadri's injury? Broken arm?

And the slewfoots?

It is amazing that with the talent the Avs have they still need the refs to push them to beat the Oilers...

And I know, fans always complain about the refs, but I've never been frustrated by the refs like in this series....
The refs are simply calling the game as they see it, and the game they see (and the rest of the non-homer hockey world sees) is a very undisciplined Oiler team repeatedly committing numerous, obvious and stupid penalties. It would be bias by the refs if they didn't call what they have been calling.
