“Every team who doesn’t win the the Stanley Cup is garbage, pure trash and would lose to the local junior B team“
Don't be a baby dude. Oiler fans don't always need to act like you're always getting picked on. It's plain to see McDavid is the best player in the world but it's not enough in the playoffs. He's doing everything he can but it takes more than his and Draisaitl's efforts to make it happen. Did you see how pissed he looked on the bench, throwing his arms up wondering WTF happened and why couldn't his team have a clean breakout with the extra skater??

The Oilers are not a talented or deep team and outside of Mcdavid and Draisaitl and therefore not a "good team". That's all people are saying. I sucks to watch, i get it dude, but i'd bet most hockey fans outside of Calgary would love to see Mcdavid win a Cup.

I didn't get to watch this one but Smith had a solid save percentage. The loss of Kadri gives hope but 4 in row doesn't happen often.

get brooms ready! Oilers are clearly outclassed and have only made it this far due to playing in one of the weaker divisions in recent memory.

Showing their true colors now

That face by McDavid at the end. Ouch.

Ken Holland is wasting this guy's career. Would not be surprised if he uses the Conference Finals appearance to justify not making any significant changes.

Really? Which penalties today were not deserved?
The MacK slewfoot was not deserved, I guess. The Avs repeatedly "accidentally" bumping Smith, or throwing Ceci into him were also, I guess, not deserved. Bumping the goalie every other play is clean playoffs hockey.. Some clear interference/trips on McD which were more obvious IMO than the RHN holding the stick call.

But no, besides two clear tripping penalties the AVS were very clean.

Well the trips aren't what injure opposing players and draw five minute penalties.

“We don’t get called for our dirty shit” is not the own you think it is. Your team is only as tough as the league and officials allow them to be, but fold like a cheap camping chair when breathed on (see: Kadri).

Evander Kane being a dirty scumbag what's new

Oilers just can't hang with the Avs. They're way too good. It's what I said at the start. Expect a quick series.

You think he was worth 11.3m a year? after putting up a 52 point season?

And Mackinnon has yet to sign his next contract, are you new to hockey?

first, Mack isnt some money hungry guy

second, gotta give credit to sakic. he realized his core of ROR, Duchene, Mack, Barrie, etc.. wasnt working so he took a couple steps back, retooled and got back at it.

meanwhile he grabbed: Makar, Girard, Byram, Rantanen during the retool. And traded deadbeats like barrie+kerfoot for Kadri and Toews for 2nd rounders That is some solid GM prowess.

Toews for 2 2nd's is one of the best trades in recent history.

Guy is an absolute stud.

No...Kane broke the bone of any...total POS cheap shot.

You signed that garbage...garbage in and garbage out.

Someone get a broom...garbage sweep time
After we get done with the broom, we'll fedex it to you guys.

I’m not sure the Oilers forward group is too far off from a contender. Obviously Kane is gone though, so who knows.

The biggest issue is that D. Cody Ceci is the only reasonable contract. Bouchard looks nice, but that Nurse contract will sink this team..

So If Frankie finishes up the series but Keumper is healthy going into finals who do they start? I would think you keep riding Francouz.

Objectively the Avalanche are the better team, both in terms of individual personnel across the board, and playing as a team. Their commitment to team defense is really impressive, everyone gives their all and sacrifices their body for the goal they've all clearly bought into. Bednar has done an absolutely amazing job with this team.

Complain about refs or not, calls and missed calls go both ways. Every fanbase will have cause for complaint after every game. To say the Avs need the refs help to win is just objectively false. In fact, the Avs PP is so bad that it's almost a detriment. What is statistically factual is that the Avs are a dominant 5v5 team and do not need any help from the referees to put pucks in the net. They have shut the Edmonton team down on a nightly basis after that crazy game 1. Remember, in game 2 Edmonton had ZERO scoring chances in the third period when they were trailing. Zero. That's phenomenal commitment by the Avs.

If you're focusing on the refs, you're looking in the wrong place for blame. But, that's psychologically the easiest thing to do when your team loses. Avs are deservedly on the cusp of clinching this series, and no amount of different refereeing would change what the team is doing as a whole. Even tonight on the Edmonton PP, the Avs were the ones with several odd-man rush opportunities. So, if the referees are to blame and the only reason the Avs are leading in the series, why is it that the when Edmonton are on the PP they are being suffocated?

Was expecting the Oilers to put up more of a fight after walloping Calgary. But down two games to zero in a must win game in their own building and they were dominated by Colorado. A really disappointing game by Edmonton given the stakes and the home crowd cheering them on.
