For all the talk about the Oilers playing "easy" opponents in the first 2 rounds. The Kings were better than the Preds and the Flames were better than the Blues.

Good luck to the Avs. Bring it on.

I’m a Wings fan. I don’t have a dog in this fight. But I’ve watched a ton of playoff hockey in my life and the Oilers-Flames series was literally the worst collective example of playoff hockey by two teams I’ve ever seen. The Flames were a paper tiger. That isn’t a new concept.
Each match-up is set by the two teams playing the game. The concept of playoff hockey is literally set by the teams playing in the playoffs and the match-ups that arise. Stylistically, this can change at any time. This isn't a new concept.

Counterpoint, the Oilers forwards with McDavid, Draisaitl, Kane, Hyman, and Nuge is a notch above what the Avs have faced so far.
Eh, McDavid and Drai are for sure, but Kane, Hyman and Nuge aren't as good as Thomas, ROR, Kyrou, Buchnevich, Tarasenko, & Perron. You have the top two making space for them, but the Avs have been able to handle secondary scorers like those 3 are.

Kane is every bit as good as those guys and Hyman is playing as well as anybody in the playoffs.

I guess nobody gives Carolina or NY a chance, do they? I don't think it is going to be a cakewalk for Tampa.
Carolina stands no chance unless Freddie Anderson returns. And Tampa has Carolinas number. NY could continue their Cinderella run but I don't think they have the experience to beat a team like Tampa. Cooper is on a mission with his team and he knows that his team is this close from making history.

Maybe, but their actual production through the first two rounds suggests otherwise. So long as some of our depth shows up, we should be in for a good series.

Will be a tight one. Going Avs in 7. No doubt McDrai will light up the scoreboard in more then a few of the matches. Avs depth will prevail I think. Both goalies suck so that's a wash.
