How does anyone with a solid between their shoulders think the Avs can win with Francouz in net?

It’ll be a huge uphill battle, Manson can’t have another stinker like that though. They have the depth to get it done

I think the crowd made an impact in the Vegas series last year. Avs went from playing in empty or half empty stadiums to a suddenly super loud full house and it looked like it rattled them. But I think the scenario last year was unique for obvious reasons

Colorado just needs to tighten up defensively, they had some huge defensive break downs due to Edmonton’s puck cycling. They kept losing their man

Francouz had better stats a couple of years ago than Grubauer did and practically shared the starting load. Frankie has good games, he has stolen some games, he was generating a good bit of starter talk (for another team) prior to his injury. He's not as bad as people think and considering Kuemper has been playing pretty poorly I'm not worried.

Because they're playing the Oilers

Against Tampa or NYR, they lose. But if they can get .900 goaltending against the Oilers, it's probably a sweep.

Absolutely true. The Avs cant turtle. The span of time you're referring to seems like a window of time where maybe Bednar's trying to steal a rest for Makar-Toews.
I wouldn’t say the Avs turtled. Koskinen played really well after he came in, Avs literally could’ve scored 10.

If Kuemper had been playing at his best and we were barely winning then I'd agree. However, the Avs were winning despite poor performances by their goaltender so switching to the backup doesn't change much. It doesn't matter who's in net, they have to win despite the goalie (and Frank played decently enough in relief).

The Manson-JJ pairing got caved all night. Somehow everyone that played with JJ started looking bad. Girard was a good example after being put with Manson that pairing was very good against the Preds. Murray needs to come in even MacDonald would be a better option than JJ right now. He looked decent in regular season now in the playoffs it really shows that he doesn't belong there just like how Nemeth looked on the Avs and Rangers if not wrong.

We'll see what happens in game 2. Oilers played a very poor first 30 min. Completely outclassed. Second half was different story.

I thought Edm 1st line was struggling all game. If Avs contain them like game 1, it'll be a short series. If they are able to break through I could see Oilers taking it.

Based on game 1, it'll be fun.

Literally? Really? How many could the Oilers have "literally" scored? Or did they "literally" deserve to be shutout and only got lucky?
Lots truly think we were lucky to be in that series. We were “lucky” that Markstrom was bad. We were “lucky” to be in the game last night. Man oh man…. If we win the cup, we just might be the luckiest team on earth 😂 😂

Mike Smith position on all six goal when the puck cross the goal line.

Fail poke check, check

On his knee before the shot is fired, double check

Completely MIA, I could be at the bar drinking Daiquiri, triple check
