It’s not really personal. 15 goals scored in a playoff game isn’t normal. 4 playoff goals scored in 1.5 minutes isn’t normal. Having a waiver wire defenseman, a guy with a separated shoulder, a guy with multiple broken ribs, and a perpetual healthy scratch featured among your playoff defense squad isn’t normal. And my relative viewing experience compared to hundreds of playoff games watched before wasn’t normal either, so I decided to comment. Just because it doesn’t align with a homer’s viewing experience doesn’t make it dishonest.
Your 25 years of playoff VIEWING experience (f***in lol) has never included a hate-filled Battle of Alberta featuring generational talent, so excuse me while I continue to ignore your PERSONAL standard for what the Playoffs should be.

McDavid and Draisaitl aren’t normal players. They aren’t even normal superstars either.

I'd be all in on the Avalanche but Kuemper seems like such an Achilles heel to me. Feel like McDavid is going to dummy him, Avalanche still probably pull it out though
Who's going to check MacKinnon et al? When the Avs want to possess the puck, what stops them?

I saw your "generational" thread. First of all, if there are two guys, then there are no "generational" players. Thats especially true when two guys on the same team have similar stats. Generational is singular. So, based on the discussion you invited, there are no generational players now. Good job.

Maybe Bedard will be "generational"?

Gretzky and Lemieux’s careers overlapped for like 15 years. Does that mean only one (or neither) of them was generational?

McDavid just seems unstoppable right now. And Kuemper is worse than Markstrom. It won't be easy for the Avs, even if they are the favorites.
Is he? Markstrom was epically bad in his series against the Oilers but I’ve only seen half of each of the Avs/Preds and Avs/Blues series. Keumper hasn’t looked good recently, not much better than Markstrom - has that been the norm though?

Eh, not so much. Kuemper is 3 week old rotting trash. You know it, your corner of the board knows it. If you think he's not going to be murdered by those 3, you're in denial.
The reason why the Avs won is by taking out Binnington. Any dumb fan can see that. Kuemper sporting a sv% of 0.904 in the playoffs. Let's see what he does against McDavid. Kuemper cannot track point shots. It could look ugly for Avs fans.

You're really an Oiler "titFan"? Good job!
