You're picking your spots regarding dirty play, but Kane's hit deserved the major and may deserve/receive supplementary discipline. An interesting thought on this particular play is that for all of the people talking about how dirty this specific type of play is, the result is never thought of as an arm injury. That's because this play, while still bad and possibly worthy of suspension, is not the same as the plays that Bednar calls the most dangerous play in hockey.
