One of the first CDs I ever owned, perhaps the first.

I'm pretty sure that's the first Breeders song I've heard that isn't "Cannonball." I skipped so many albums lol. I also listened to "Exile in Guyville" and "Come on Feel" about a trillion times apiece.

EDIT: That's completely wrong - I have also heard "Divine Hammer."

Pod is a wonderfully weird little album. I can't tell you the last time I listened to Last Splash (i.e. Cannonball, Divine Hammer) - it was probably in the 90's - but I still throw Pod on from time to time.

This is a beautiful gem of a song that got completely lost in the shuffle by coming out just as grunge and the majesty of 90s alternative music were about to blow up.

Neat cut but since you brought up Crowded House … it conjured up memories of you-know-what — a timeless gem of a song that is going on loop all weekend.

Damn it, in a good way. :)

This new Midnight Oil single may be one of the best songs they've ever written. I really hope I can see them live again. Perhaps I can hop over to Buffalo instead of going all the way down to Philly for their next tour.

Just listened to Last Splash the other day and it holds up fairly well. Breeders albums are all weird affairs though, and it's surprising in retrospect that the record did as well as it did because it's a bit out there.

It's one of my 10 favorite songs. I'm instantly transported to 86-87 whenever I hear it, which is incidentally the year I fell in love with the Flyers and hockey. I'm blaming Neil Finn for that.

Two of my favorite songs from them involve feet. Odd coincidence.

Don't worry, no kink shaming here.

Youtube music sent me down an Australian music path a few months ago. Apparently they still do some grunge and punk style rock over there. Violent Soho has a ton of good tunes. I think they had one almost-hit in the US.

Violent Soho
Dear Seattle
Skegss
DZ Deathrays
Dune Rats
Gooch Palms
Sly Withers
Courtney Barnett (not grunge)
