Probably.. Roy wins in the short run, but is digging a deep long run whole. Especially with competition from Larionov over in the OHL, kiss the top Russians goodbye in Quebec City if this drags out.

Remparts have had misses in the past with Russians. Who can forget the whole Balmochnykh fiasco. Sometimes it works out, sometimes it doesn't. Remparts had great success with other Russians in the past. I don't think it's a black or white thing.

Churilov and Bashkirov twins left the team as well.

Honestly, I hope the Remparts find a taker and soon. Kucherov should be playing....this is absolutely horrible for his development.

This isn't a Russian player 'hit or miss' issue.

The problem is a really talented kid made a huge commitment to Quebec and crossed the ocean, only to find out he's in/out of the lineup because the import quota was already maxed.

Wow, I'd be pissed if I was Kucherov.

Because he never thought there would be a lock out. Grigorenko wasn't supposed to be there.

I'd see him traded to Blainville-Boisbriand. They already have plenty of grit, they need talent.

Bouchard passed on Kabanov and explicitely said he didn't want that kind of guy in his locker room. I doubt he'd give up assets for Kucherov.

Well, there are other ways for Kucherov. He can leave the team and the Bolts can then assign him to the AHL. If he's staying, then Roy must have made a commitment to him.

He was talking about Kabanov's attitude. Kucherov isn't the same kind of person, as far as I know.

Attitude on and off the ice. From what I have seen, Kucherov is even worst than Kabanov for his defensive play and overall effort. Definitely not a Bouchard type of player.

Besides, would Roy really consider sending Kucherov to Boisbriand? He'd be better off just scratching him than letting him play for his rivals.

how can you see Kucherov plays in the AHL if he cant even have an impact in the LHJMQ...

very very high hypes about him but the really is this guy in NA style is totally invisible. one of the softest europeen player i ever seen since long long time in the CHL.

if he dont start to work maybe a bust like Kugryshev...

I'm not the biggest Kucherov fan... but I'm not going to talk about bust. He only had 6 games so far... way to early to tell how he is going to turn up!

Coming off surgery and without having played in a long time, adjusting to the N-A game, Kucherov has 10 pts in 6 games. You don't know what you're talking about. This player is uber talented.

Many top prospects start out slow in the AHL because they are adjusting to the faster pace, look at Girgensons. It would not be different for Kucherov. He has to start somewhere. I'm sure Tampa wouldnt mind placing him in the AHL if the Remparts where to release him.

Whether it is this year or next Kucherov will be in the AHL anyway

The Lightning won't place him in our AHL affiliate the Syracuse Crunch this season. It would go against Yzerman's philosophy of developing prospects, and Syracuse is also too stacked, he wouldn't get any playing time. That's the main problem, he needs to play.

Kucherov had to be aware of the situation before joining the team. Maybe he's fine playing for another Q team, who knows. From what I heard he had a good attitude throughout the process.

Poor guy. He didn't even receive an invite for Russia's U20 camp.

At least it means he'll be able to play with Quebec! Grigorenko's last game will be on December 5.

We don't know that for sure yet, as Varnakov said- there's still a chance he'll get invited.

It's gonna suck for Quebec if Buffalo calls up Grigorenko. From what I have heard Roy never got a straight answer from the Sabres about what they do with him when the season starts.
