Hopefully the foot was seriously ****ing with his skating, because he looked god awful most of the season.

Yup I really hope that's the case too. If he can come and actually be good, I might trust a Kunitz-Malkin-Comeau line. That's a KMN light with better puck carrying ability in Comeau (while a more dangerous goal scorer, I think Comeau is a more complete player than Neal and is actually a threat carrying the puck at times. That in now way implies Comeau>Neal, just that he has different abilities that seems to make that line tick).

Then you get one home run winger for Sid and hope the team gets healthy.

Trade-Crosby-Hornqvist
Kunitz-Malkin-Comeau
Bennett-Sutter-Downie
Klink-Goc-Adams i guess

I traded Spaling, Pouliot, + for a mythical dynamic winger.

Martin-Letang (kept Martin to compete for Cup assuming Maatta is dead)
Bortuzzo-Ehrhoff (because they hate Despres)
Despres-Scuds

Obviously things hinge on health and hitting a home run on the trade, but with Comeau's emergence and the Klink deal, we are one dynamic winger away from legitimately competing for a cup.

Seriously though, even if Crosby (or anyone else) is really gay, what does it matter? I didn't think this forum dealt with the players' personal life speculation.

how long do mumps usually last?

Usually, a week? Mine as a kid lasted only 5 days, but serious cases could go up to 2 weeks. I remember being really bummed I got so few days off school, while my friends got at least a week.

Pic looks like he's skating on his own with a coach (Kadar maybe?) but that's better than last week.

Can't wait till her gets back. I'm hoping how he looked before this was due to injury.

Looks like we're finally going to get to see Harrington play.
Nah, just no. It´s gonna be Dumoulin. Letang, Ehrhoff, Martin, Scuds, Des, Dumo.

Also, Bennett is not practicing, not even skating on his own with Kadar. Yeah, a couple weeks away (said in Mid November) I just hope he´s alive. And that he plays in January somehow. Maybe.

Eh, yeah. Forgot Dumoulin was still up. It would be nice to see Harrington get a game though, otherwise it makes no sense that he's the one being recalled.

So what's the timeline for Crosby's return? Or I guess I should ask, how long did Tanner Glass and Corey Perry miss?

Glass wasn't out long at all, Perry was out for quite a while, he got hospitalized, I remember him saying he was weak after, something about his lungs. Hoping it won't be as serious for Sid.

Crosby appears to have been handling the Mumps well. Not fully symptomatic. Once he has the right medications, He should be out ~1 week I would presume. Starting around Saturday. 5 Days by CDC. Suter only missed 2 games (those games took 1 week). Perry handled it poorly and had 2 weeks.

I would say Crosby will be OK by Wed Night. The team might precautionarily take him out of Thurs game. Even though he should be good to play by then.
Expect him in the lineup Saturday.

That's not terrible all things considered.

What medications? Are they loading his superstitious self up with placebos? The only mumps medications are pain relievers.

I was just about to post the same forward lineup. Situation is a lot less dire with Comeau's play and if BB can ****** stay healthy. Honestly, Comeau looks legit right now. As good or better than Dupuis ever looked as a 3rd wheel in our top 6. Malkin seems to tolerate playing with him and we've seen that's a big hurdle to clear as well in the past. ie if Malkin's happy he's playing high end hockey and he's doing it with Comeau.

I'd like to see Harrington worked into the top 6 to allow Despres to pair with Ehrhoff and Bort as the 7 but that situation is hard to read with Maatta right now.

So amidst all the people coming in with the ever helpful "well in Canada/Sweden/Germany/etc. we get vaccinated" (disregarding that half the players who had it were Canadian or European anyway), am I the only one who thought: well, they tell you to get all kinds of vaccinations before going to Russia here, because a lot of diseases are still around there, that are not so much in Central Europe, measles prominently for example, so maybe it'll turn out Malkin had this stupid children's disease as an actual child? Like even my positive spin on this is getting weak.
