I'm interested in seeing why Maatta is out now.

Cole's source says he a bone chip in his surgically repaired shoulder. That sounds bad so it's definitely possible, nay, likely.

Upper body, not thyroid related, he had shoulder surgery in the off season, it's the Pens and they're seeking a 2nd opinion. It won't be surprising if the source is right. :shakehead

Three blood tests came back negative for mumps. That's totally the doctor's fault....

Crosby had mumps symptoms during a league-wide mumps epidemic. The doctors could've erred on the side of caution.

Doctors said he had none of the usual symptoms (besides the swelling), and the swelling got worse the day he was interviewed.

Someone (doctors or higher up) should have been just more cautious there.

Well, Crosby missed a practice and was questionable for a game because he was "feeling under the weather" so he must've had more symptoms than just swelling. Just watching him play would tell you something was up with him.

If the docs kept Sid out w/o him having mumps.... **** would have hit the fan. Doctors would have been fired.

I was being sarcastic man. The guy I responded to was acting life is the doctor's fault for not finding it. There's absolutely no reason the doctor's could determine he had mumps without a positive screening for it.
