Some good discussion in here.

I’m not sure how I feel about it, but I think Eberle and Drouin are probably the two most realistic names that have been mentioned.

Either of those straight up (with maybe a small prospect add) just sounds like an Armstrong move.

While I'm very sad to see my favorite Blue since Brett Hull go, this thread has at least given me some hope the return won't be as bad as I had feared. Seems like plenty of fan bases are still willing to take a chance on Tarasenko. I have a feeling he will bounce back strong with a full offseason to recover and he will be motivated to prove he's still got it (which makes trading him all the more painful).

I agree those two names are reasonable, and while I'm not thrilled I recognize we may not be able to get much more back for Vladi. And since teams will be taking on some degree of risk with Tarasenko, we should expect to get a guy with question marks in return. Drouin makes me damn nervous, but it would be a great story if he could come back and have a productive career.

Agreed. Army won’t deal him just for futures unless he has plan to find another scoring winger.
Him and front office think we have window open. Yes Army will burn Vlads money to somebody. If he cant think of better he will buy to Hitch pizza and hamburger place.

Well, it may not be straight up for Tarasenko but if St. Louis will want a replacement, Evander Kane seems to be potentially available and probably had for cheap.

God I hope not. I will vomit if I have to see tarasenko wear that jersey and vomit again if I have to see Kane in a blues jersey.

Drouins got more talent than he knows what to do with, and like you and VT he's been one of my favs. I've rooted and hoped that he could just do what he's shown at a consistent level for years now and I think as Habs fans we finally just have to accept that the kid may just not be able to handle the hometown scrutiny. There's risk to acquiring him but he is 3 years younger and making 2 million less than Tarasenko, but I think it's a sensible thought for both teams to look at these two. Could be a trade that works out great for both teams

Blichfield is Sharks property. I'm talking about the NJ Devils and doing a trade around the NYI's first round pick that they aquired in the Zajac and Palmieri trade (28th overall) and one of our prospects.

Oh ok I missed that. I think Wilde and the first would work. Possible 2 mil in retention.

Sounds a lot like HFs perception of Skinner back when he was traded. He played something like 92% of his games and yet “injury prone” was brought up frequently.
And no, I’m not saying Skinner was on Tarasenko’s level, just that there’s similarities in their situations.
I wouldn't say injury prone but inconsistent

Kuznetsov was talked on 101 by Jamie rivers.

If you Rea further you would see what a realistic offer would be from islanders

Wilde Bellows cluterbuck
For tarasenko

If that's to much then not sure what to tell you. Fyi all the fans have been clamoring for him in this thread they just want him for free. That's not happening and if he does get traded at next year in season just know the price will jump .

I made the same comment in a recent Eichel discussion that I will make here: teams are not offering what you team thinks he is worth because of injuries?
Then keep him to start the season and let him show GMs the injuries are not a factor.

And yeah,I am aware that if GMs think these players are healthy,it will raise the price.
