Injuries, suspensions and/or cap-shedding roster moves may come, but for right now it's pretty exciting. In back-to-back years they've added veterans who have at times been truly exceptional players to support and guide the young core. That they're no longer at their peak doesn't diminish the impact of their guidance and experience.
So he was drafted in 2010, and did not step onto a NHL ice, to play in The NHL until 2013…… pretty much exactly what I said…. And at the time, when the Sens traded the pick, in 2010, “the talk” in local media is that the belief that Tarasenko was not willing to come to North America at the time… was it a bargaining tactic, assuming a strike of lockout was looming, or whatever … the fact is from the time he was drafted until he played in the NHL was almost three years.Draft reports say he indicated he was willing to come over when asked in interviews and he indicated his contract extended one season after the draft. You've made a narrative about why we didn't draft him, no clue why, but it seems based on misinformation and miss-recollection
2012/13 was the lockout, he played opening night, which was Jan 19th, there were no games in 2012 that season so like many other players he found another league to play in until the lockout resolution.
Yes that was part of the reasoning, and after drafting Kaigorodov in 2002, and him only playing a handful of games for the Sens a few years later and then bolting for the KHL put them off drafting Russians…. And at the end of the day, not drafting Tarasenko, and eventually ending up with Turris was a good thing for the Sens.I am pretty sure the Sens didn't like drafting Russians back then. Not sure if we just didn't have a presence in Russia or its cause Melnyk is from Ukraine but there was definitely a period of time where we didnt draft russians for whatever reason
You've moved the goal posts so far they are on another field at this point, if you can't remember what you said a couple posts ago it's no wonder you've misconstrued what happens 13 years ago. Your claim was Tarasenko was committed to play in the KHL for three seasons at the time of the draft, that appears to be false given he said he was willing to come over even for junior in his draft interviews according to the hurricanes amateur scout. So he was drafted in 2010, and did not step onto a NHL ice, to play in The NHL until 2013…… pretty much exactly what I said…. I know what I read and heard in the local media at the time, perhaps you don’t…. But IF the draft reports you, or Cannon or Mannix uncovered, why did he not report to the Blues in September of 2010.
Melnyk also bought the sens in 2003 don’t think it’s a coincidence that’s when it startedYes that was part of the reasoning, and after drafting Kaigorodov in 2002, and him only playing a handful of games for the Sens a few years later and then bolting for the KHL put them off drafting Russians…. Whats piooma?you're going to have to provide some sort of source, or any evidence other than PIOOMA for me to buy any of this claim that the main reason we didn't draft him had anything to do with wanting someone sooner. Tarasenko only didn't play till Jan 2013 because of the lockout, he came over once the NHL started back up, not after a KHL deal expired.
Pulled it out of my assWhats piooma?
I may have sourced it from piooma...Hmmm. Never heard that one before

Oh I'm quite familiar with the expression, it was the acronym I'd never seen beforeI may have sourced it from piooma...
I first heard it from a coworker, he'd be in his mid to late 50s, so probably a bit of an older expression, might be regional, as he was ex military and has lived just about everywhere in Canada, as well as a few places outcan.

Stu on his forehand making passes to The Tank on his one-timer side should produce a lot of high danger scoring opportunities. I hope they show some chemistry early.Dude has a freaking nice wrister.
