His plane left 5 AM EST (2 PM local) and he landed at 5 PM EST. That's a long-ass flight. I've been on those 12-hour flights from Vienna to Seattle. It really f***s you up.

But he can relax now. I hope he has his XBox set up for the next 10 days
Try NY to Hong Kong or LA to Sydney like I've done lol

15-16 hours

I don't find international trips & jet flag very difficult. My first time overseas was when I went to Thailand at 9 years old. Flight from Vancouver to Hong Kong to Bangkok, train ride to Chiang Mai (13 hours 16 mins + 2 hours 39 mins + 13 hours 5 mins)

29 hours of travel alone, not accounting for driving to and from these places and the process in the airports. Perhaps most people haven't travelled to that extent at such a young age but for me I don't find it difficult at all, I would presume elite hockey players are quite used to the process too

I’ve taken a plane from New York to Israel and back and let me say there is definitely is an adjustment on the mind and body for a few days.
I used to live there so i've done the flight many times. i think that 10-11 hours is my limit, I won't ever take a flight thats longer than that.

It's a lot easier to overcome jetlag when you sleep on your mom's lap at age 9

I think it’s personal though pros are provided all the luxuries to make their flights as comfortable as possible.

I don’t fly well. I can’t fall asleep and it’s especially taxing on the overnight flights plus my body aches and gets stiff no matter how often I get up to stretch. I only fly overseas and back once maybe two times a year and a also one or two shorter flights so maybe if I did it more often it would be different.

BTW, I also hate long drives too.

And then weren’t you relieved when in D+1 Wahlstrom couldn’t buy a goal in college and actually had to leave while Kravtsov had a pretty strong year in the KHL? What’s the moral?

None of that matters now though. Wahlstrom is playing in the NHL and is actually really solid for NYI. If Kravtsov has another fit in the next couple weeks like he did when he first came over I might have to pencil him in as Andersson 2.0,

Wahlstrom and Lafreniere on a line would be dirty right now. Laf might actually be putting up points if that was the case

I ask for a moral of the story and you ignored it. So yes it does matter - because Wahlstrom could stop developing and become a career bottom liner and Kravtsov could come in and light up the scoresheets. In order to look back and with a hindsight say what the Rangers should have done then - you need to wait for at least couple of more years because of ups-and-downs during prospects development.

Farabee is kicking both their tails so i don’t think either fan base should be claiming victory yet.

Like I said, none of that projection or what if's matter at the moment because as things stand Wahlstrom and Farabee are miles better than where Kravtsov is. Sure you can wait a couple years but I'm not talking about a couple years, I'm talking about NOW. It's just unfortunate because it's classic NYR risk pick

Ok, let me give you another example of why NOW doesn't matter and then I'm done here. 2013 draft - Nichushkin is taken 10OA and has 34 points for Stars right away while the Rangers take Buchnevich in the 3rd round and has a so so season overseas. Who do you think looks like a better prospect after D+1? Who do you think would be a better draft selection now with 7 years of hindsight?

Farabee is a good player; as expected. Wahlstrom has scored some but he is one dimensional. He is also protected on a pretty good team. The jury is still out on him. VK may be better than both; or maybe he won't. Either way when they were drafted nobody was planning on evaluating success by their D+2.

Flying from NYC to Hong Kong 15-16 hours non stop is brutal. Depend on what seat you have purchased. Economy seat are killer on the body and soul. Business class seat are much better, but cost way more. I'm guessing, Kavy is sitting in Business or First class.

Yup, it's soul-sucking and does a number on the physical body. Just messes with every conceivable system in the human body.
