i believe he has to pass 3 tests...assuming he got the first test on sunday when he first arrived in ny. then best case scenario is to get cleared on sunday and then can join practice on monday...don't quote me on that though as i'm not 100% sure.

If there is any one of the Kakko, Lafreniere, and Kravtsov that may be able to gel with Panarin and Strome at this point in time, it's Vitaly.
Come on. This is the Rangers. There's no way he'll shine. We all know we'll be having the same conversation about him that we have about Laf and Kakko.

Oh, I know the conversations on here will be the same. If he's playing nearly as well as Kakko though, that will be a win for me, regardless of whatever the doom and gloom chooses to dwell on.
He should be better than Lafreniere out of the gate. He's been playing against men in the second best league in the world for four(?) years now.

People dumping on Howden should realize he was smart enough to create a niche for himself on the pk, something gauthier, PDG, Nieves, letteri etc etc never did, which is why he plays and others sit. For a 4th liner making league minimum he sure takes s lot of blame for the problems of this team
Because we still remember the likes of Brian Boyle and Dominik Moore on the 4th line. Howden is not an NHL level player.
Lmao Howden isn’t being “blamed for the problems of the team”. He just flat out sucks and belongs in the AHL. Is it so wrong for people to want him to be replaced at this point? Its been 3 years and he has shown little to no improvement. And if anyone deserves the blame its DQ (which is constantly pointed out) and to a lesser extent its Gorton who wont take the toy away from him.
Role as a PKer.... @UnSandvich pointedly showed the underlying stats to show that Howden has actually been one of our worst PKers. He isnt some stud PKer. He isnt Dom Moore LMAO. He is replaceable.
Get rid of him and give Blackwell his PK minutes. Blackwell has the motor for it.
Then get Kravtsov or Gauthier back in the lineup. Guys with actual talent and potential to go somewhere in their careers. Gauthier could be increasing his value by bringing the offense. Yet we are saying we cannot play him because Howden is some elite PKer?... when he really isnt?

We have one of the best pk in the league, he's part of that, whether he is the best forward or the 4th best on a good pk doesn't mean he is bad at it. People will try and twist this to suit their narrative but he's been good on the pk.

Dom moore wasnt a pk early in his career, its something he adapted to to extend his career much like Howden has done only earlier in his career. I get it, people wanna bitch about him but he's actually good on the pk and will likely only get better given his age.
Kravtsov coming over and being penciled into the line up because he's definitely ready. Seems like I've seen this episode before. At least now everyone is preemptively blaming the coaching staff.
Agreed. Howden is a 4th liner, teams need those too. I personally do not get all the hate for him. Unless people can't get over that he was part of the McDonagh trade

Kravtsov is 21 though, not 18 or 19. Maybe that will lead to better play? what if he's at Chytil level off the bat? Not exactly taking the league by storm but, we'll take that
