Even if he has a little more experience at C than Kakko and Laf, I definitely put him behind them in the pecking order for players to try at C. I think he is a bad fit at center to be frank.

I expect you've seen a lot more of him than I have Ola so I'll defer to your position on this. I think sometimes it's a lot easier for wings to switch to the other wing than to the center position. There is also a lot more responsibility placed on a center's shoulders than on a wing. A center has to cover more territory and being defensively sound is another thing---and that is a lot of responsibility for someone coming in as a first year NHL player and being new to the position makes it even a harder ask.

How many NHL games is the cutoff for Calder considerations? Would be cool if he can come over and still be eligible next season.

According to google:

"To be considered a rookie, a player must not have played in more than 25 NHL games in any preceding seasons, nor in six or more NHL games in each of any two preceding seasons. Any player at least 26 years of age (by September 15th of that season) is not considered a rookie."

Thanks! Guess the better question is if that figure is adjusted for the truncated season

Should he come over, I absolutely try him with legit offensive players on line 3.

Hes as useful as tits on a bull on that 4th line with Howden and Lemieux.

Absolutely a waste of time

If they are eliminated on Thursday, the earliest he can fly here is probably Friday. Then a mandatory 10-day quarantine where the day of arrival is day 0, which would make him available for practice and joining the team on Monday the 22nd

Going from elimination game to flying overseas for at least a few months stay in just overnight is probably too optimistic. I’d probably give him until Sunday at least, so it’s closer to March 24-25.

Are you guys confident the FO has thought ahead to secure a work visa for him? Honestly though I don't know how it works. Go back to using the existing one when he was here that hasn't expired? Asking for a friend

He already has one. When a player signs a contract, they are given a work-visa for the duration of the intial contract. Visa issues only arise when an ELC slides (Chytil for instance). The team would then have to file for an extension, which is almost always approved.

Yes, I just pointed out the earliest timetable, including the 10-day quarantine and actual travel time.

Kravtsov should get an assist as finally Traktor breaks thru. Nice one timer blocked in front but rebound put in.
