Planning on coming down from Ontario this summer when the Jays are in town with a few buddy’s. Best places to stay around the stadium/bars? Were all in our mid 20s

This will be an odd question.
I was in Boston this weekend, travelling to and from via the Mass Pike. Along the Mass Pike, I see several lakes, they technically are labeled/called ponds. I have never seen any boats in them. No power, sail, or paddle(kayaks). Is this not allowed ?

Answered my own questions. Looks like most are reservoirs, but can't say I've seen boats on
Lake Cochituate

Best bet is someplace on the outskirts of the city. You can take the train in and out, save on parking, and get hammered responsibly without worrying about driving.

Hotels.com has some decent rates and will give you an idea of what hotels are in and around the area.

For the hotel that is closest to Fenway and near bars/restaurants, the Marriott Copley Place is nice but pricey however there is a Yardhouse restaurant and is very close to Fenway and the Prudential Mall with more food options are just next door. Newbury Street is a block away and they have restaurants and I think a few bars left.

The area is so different now that a lot of businesses have closed due to the pandemic and a large chunk of the workforce has remained remote.

Any good restaurants around Fenway? Weather is starting to get nicer and I've never actually been to a game up there. (native Rhode Islander)
Cask and Flagon and Landsdown Pub are solid for right near Fenway. Game On is ok. I typically go to Yardhouse which is down Brookline Ave.

Lake Cochituate

Used to go to Cochituate when I was a camper and then councilor at a local summer camp. Cold water but always had a great time swimming as it is clean and well maintained.

I've been in the Boston area since May of 2010, and I used to think that New England had two seasons: winter and construction.

I was wrong, it has three:
- winter
- construction
- BURY YOUR f***ING CAR IN PINE TREE POLLEN AND OAK SEEDLINGS

Hey Bruins fans,

I’m looking for a decent hotel as close to the Garden/downtown for around $200USD/night in November. Would prefer walking distance if possible, but that may be unrealistic. Any suggestions?

Thanks,
TheBT

The Omni Parker House is a pretty good deal, in a good spot and with some pretty amazing history.

Thinking about a trip to Boston for my <redacted>th birthday. Is late March/early April (i.e. Hockey season is winding down) or early-mid October (ie Hockey season is just firing up) generally nicer weather? I get that it's a crap-shoot at either time, but in general.

October would be better. Fall is always great here, spring is the crap shoot of rain or snow or 80 degrees. Fall is almost always breezy days in the 50's to 60's, jacket/sweatshirt weather, my favorite time of year.

thanks, i was leaning towards the fall even though my b-day is in March, as there's a chance to maybe catch a game in any one of the other sports too. it would be a playoff game for the Sox probably, but catching a playoff game at Fenway doesn't sound terrible

March/April in New England is one word: CLUSTERf***. October is wonderful.

Anyone know of any Curling programs or leagues in the Boston area?

I'm moving to Somerville at the end of the month and I'd really like to try and get into the sport.

Finally washed my car today. Washed it three times, in fact.

How did it come out, you may ask? Well, the response of Massachusetts pollen to my car-washing efforts was basically "bitch, please."

October is better. The second week is usually peak color in New England.
