Last time Teemu played as a Jet, they won the alumni game. He then watched the Heritage Classic, and the Jets lost 4-0 against Oilers.

He is here tonight watching, and the Jets lose 4-0 to Predators?

Coincidence?

Obviously the Jets should have signed Teemu to a one game contract and suited him up.

And I'm sorry to lose my shit here, but in the immortal words of a great sailor man, that's all I can stands; I can't stands no more.

Look, it's simple: I'd have taken this as a Good Thing at the start of the years and at the start of the playoffs and even at the start of this series.

And come Thursday I'm going to cheer for the Jets and god help me this means even if I've got exactly one person on here to do it with.

But hopefully enough of you will realize what you have and at the very least, take every last good moment you can get out of it.

If they lose the series, fans won't just get over it. There are no guarantees.
Not sure what this means? But if it all should end without a cup, we will all lick our wounds, realize what a huge step forward we made this season and regroup for next season. Doing anything but doesn't make you much of a fan does it?

We still have the Hockey News projecting us as Cup champs in 2019 to look forward too.

Jets had every thing going for them......chance to close out, playing at home, with the momentum. They proceeded to bring not much tonight. Does not take a negative nelly or a negatron to point this out....as fact.

They proceeded to play to the best of their ability and ran into a team that was just as good, a bit better at the right times and INCREDIBLY lucky on a number of occasions.

it does take a "negative nelly" to believe the Jets just didn't f***ing put in an effort just because they didn't win because you cannot win a team versus team game through force of will alone.

Seriously. Does someone have footage they want to share of the Jets being incredibly irresponsible with their habits the night before? f***ing up their game day routine? Goofing off on the bench? Stopping in the middle of the game to text their inlaws? Like if this is all a great game of "troll me" when I see the video of Byfuglien missing a line change because he was playing Candy Crush, you've had enough fun now bring out the punch line and the Juste Pour Rire guy can laugh at me and hell, I'll laugh too.

That was NOT a "monumentous" game by the Jets.

Pfftftt. Credit to Nash I suppose but I can't believe the Jets let that happen twice in a row on home ice.

You believe that they can't play better than that? I for one, can....

Too many Jets are just "non-playoff performers"! Sad actually, a team with guys who pad their stats in the regular season but who are too lazy and afraid to do any heavy lifting in the post season!

Play Roslo in place of Ehlers!

@sipowicz time to pull out all stops and get these guys going, it's now or never. Laine and Ehlers esp could use some motivation from you. I for one am calling for Ehlers to be sent down to play in the Dutch league :sarcasm:

I agree with Jets Fan here -- Sip has to pull out all stops now, and bring out the Grit and Sandpaper, and get on these guys--"no more Mr. Nice Guy."

I understand Jet's management is discussing flying Sip down to Nashville, to stand behind the Jet's bench, and hold the "sluffers"--accountable. We need it-time to get tough.

It boggles the mind. We are in the heat of a playoff battle and instead of people talking about what we need to do to counteract, it is all aren't we S***, Maurice sucks' everyone is terrible, bunch of losers etc. WE ARE STILL ALIVE IN THE STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS AND PLAYING A GAME 7 ON MAY 10TH AND SOMEHOW EVERYTHING SUCKS! Sorry for shouting but **** at least wait to we are actually eliminated to give up.

Fans on message boards don't actually impact the game or the series. Breaking down how we can counteract the Preds trap in game 7 is just as irrelevant as bitching about Matt Hendricks. Some people seem to want North Korean level hero worship of the team/coaches/players and others will bitch about tonight's effort or dumb coaching decisions. One side whines about the team, the other side whines about the fans they don't like. Its all whining and you aren't a better fan regardless of which type of whiner you are.

I'd argue that Laine was one of the best Jets last game where most of the team didn't show up. He got pucks to the net and some of the shots that missed were decent scoring chances. He has to go for the corners to score on a big goalie like Rinne, so he'll keep hitting the glass and the boards until he suddenly buries a few again. The rest of the team, with a few exceptions like Connor, crapped their bed and it was painful to watch how slow and out of sync the whole team was. That leads to the question where was our captain? What's up with Wheeler? He looks like he's playing hurt. He was was mishandling the puck all night and almost acted like the Preds 5th penalty killer.

Talking about the PP – the Preds were pressuring the puck carrier with 3 players at times. One would think that a skilled PP unit like the Jets has could exploit that kind of over commitment and flip the puck to the open space that's available, but noooooo. The Jet's just got the puck jammed along the boards, until the penalty killers cleared it out of their zone. Wheeler running into Buff's ass on a zone entry pretty much summarised his effort tonight. He handled the puck like a grenade all evening and was far from the leader one could expect to show up for a clinching game. Next game will a little bit of luck and 10x the effort we saw from the Jets today.

The GDT's when they lose are toxic no doubt. I think it made aavco leave which sucks because I like his perspective. I can't get that upset at sports I have too many real problems to deal with in my life lol. People post as if their dog has been shot not like the Jets lost game 6 against #1.

Two of the last three Jets efforts have been pathetic, sorry boys but I don't see it getting any better in Nashville.

Have I mentioned how crappy Ehlers and Laine have been against the Preds?

Totally agree, the whole cliche of "they just wanted it more" and "they don't have a killer instinct" is just so dumb, it's Skip Bayless dumb.

I think Happy Gilmore exemplified it best when he tried his hardest, gave it his best, but yet things didn't go his way.

Give credit to the other team for having a good game plan, executing that game plan and just playing 1 better game than the Jets. We could say the same thing in the games we won and it sounds just as ridiculous. No one team "wants it more" it's usually one team played better than the other (with luck variance thrown in)

One side flouts the rules about shitting all over a team in their own GDTs and in their own forum, the other side doesn't.

One side would be completely placid if the other sided weren't histrionic agitators, the other side would continue to be histrionic agitators regardless.

Spare me the false equivalency.
