Confirmed Trade: [VGK/CGY/PHI] Noah Hanifin (75% retained), Mikhail Vorobyov to VGK; 2026 1st , 2025 cond. 3rd, Daniil Miromanov to CGY; 2024 5th to PHI

Yall are tripping Flames are going to love Edstrom.

For Hanifin how can you do better than Edstrom and a 1st?

Look out Western Conference because this is going to be one heck of a Blueline even if Hanifin is likely just a rental.

Hanifin - Pietrangelo
McNabb - Theodore
Hague - Whitecloud

X - Martinez, Hutton

top rentals get traded every year for a 1st and 2nd. how the f*** could they have gotten more when there never has been a bigger precedent. maybe get your head out of your ass and stop with your delusion.
It's Wednesday. The deadline is Friday.

I'm sure you know what the other offers were, too, right? I mean you'd have to know if you're assuming that this was the best one they were going to get.

It's your prerogative to be happy about it. But I tried to tell you guys how much of a mistake it was to sign the guts they got in the Tkachuk trade return, too. Got the same feedback then.

This is a bad trade for Calgary. Hanifin was worth a lot more to them

Really Conroy, thats gross, that was the best offer you gor? Thanks for loading up Vegas ffs!!!
Conroy may not be around if that pick is in 2026 for that kid to every play a game in the NHL in 2028 or 2029, which is 4-5 years from now. Conroy would have been GM for 5 or 6 years by then.

So Philly paid about $309,000 for a 2024 5th round pick. Feels like the retaining teams are getting a little less value closer to the deadline

Thought the Flames would get a decent prospect
Yeah me too. I was hoping for Edstrom and a 1st. This was our best piece we had to move. I don't see how this is going to be a re-tool. I think we are looking at a full rebuild. We got one potential impact prospect back total for all of these guys. Even if the scouts really hit we're talking 4-5 years minimum. At that length why would guys like Andersson, Weegar, Kadri, Coleman and Backlund want to stick around?

I’m shocked Lindholm returned more. A retool was only doable if they sold last deadline, this is what happens when rentals get traded. Maybe he can get a 3rd and Holtz for Markstrom

Because he's a 27 year old top pairing defenseman in the midst of what may be a career year. The Hampus Lindholm trade set a pretty good precedent of what you should expect as a return for that caliber of D.

A former 1st round pick, a 1st, two 2nds and an offsetting contract.

Let it all out though. Your GM got his ass handed to him by a division rival GM.
