Confirmed Trade: [VGK/CGY/PHI] Noah Hanifin (75% retained), Mikhail Vorobyov to VGK; 2026 1st , 2025 cond. 3rd, Daniil Miromanov to CGY; 2024 5th to PHI

The 2025 was the better draft so it makes it better but not overall great. And Vegas is 100% gonna add Guentzel at this rate lmao

be interesting if vegas can sign him - they have 19m (w lehner out) and 7 open roster spots. vegas has 1 RFA - prolly @ 1m, and 7 UFAs - if hanifin wants say 8m, leaves 11m for 6 spots.

Who would have thought the thing holding up the announcement of this deal was an extension of a 26 year old dman who has played 29 NHL games in his career.

Conroy high 5ing himself

There will definitely be some glorifying of Miromanov coming out of Calgary’s FO. Expect them to wax poetic about how he is a diamond in the rough.

Truthfully he does have some intriguing skills and given the current state of the Flames blueline depth, should be expected to earn an extended audition this year and potentially a spot on the roster come fall. But he’s far from a sure thing. The injury history is also concerning.

I looked as t it. They will need yo trade someone out to have more than just a 20man roster. Candidate would be mcnabb.

All these posters here thinking Conroy did a horrible job.

He took the best offer on the table, Hanifin and his agent handcuffed him. Tampa and Florida have zero top draft picks in the near future and the agent made it clear he was not going to sign with most teams.
He did do a horrible job. He got a horrendous return for a prime aged defenseman who would've accepted a trade to three quarters of the NHL. He owned an 8-team NTC.

If the rumors are correct and VGK's pick isn't until 2026, both Florida teams own those picks.
