unless he resigns he is rental so take out all non playoff teams and teams without any cap space and youre left with a small pool. still cant believe couldnt get better than that returnhow could none of the other 31 teams not beat this
The NHLPA isn't going to do [Samuel L. Jackson voice] a goddamn thing [/SLJ voice] about it.
Any action to implement a cap in the playoffs - especially one like some people keep asking for here - results in players on playoff teams being restricted in some way from playing in playoff games, for purely arbitrary "financial" reasons that have nothing to do with player salaries in the playoffs [which aren't a thing because the players only get contractually paid for the regular season] under the guise of "fairness" that, as I've explained countless times now, have the potential to do harm to players on innocent teams without actually fixing the alleged problem. Why in the hell would the NHLPA do that to its members?
it doesn't help we have a few dumbass posters claiming this tooI don’t think it was a good return but Oilers fans thinking that Conroy did this to screw their team need to stop thinking the world revolves around their team. What an absurd thing to think.
Yes, which has significantly less value than someone who is open to potentially negotiate a contract. You are literally describing the definition of pure rental.
31 - 8 NTC list.how could none of the other 31 teams not beat this
Is that what you told yourself with your last GM when he traded Tkachuk for that mess of players? New GM same result. Calgary asset management is one of if not the worst in the league. All these posters here thinking Conroy did a horrible job.
He took the best offer on the table, Hanifin and his agent handcuffed him. Tampa and Florida have zero top draft picks in the near future and the agent made it clear he was not going to sign with most teams.
The trade market was already crap this year. And him being the top of the list already was enough. I think all this handcuff talk is way over blown by people who are salty that Conroy is a terrible GM.I'm sure his value as a pure rental is a f***load less than his value if he's wiling to talk extension. If he's got 8 teams on his list, and he's only interested in signing before July 1 with, say, 2 of them, you've got a pretty crappy trade market.
It hasnt been since the tanev trade.I thought it was a sellers market?
No, he got the value from an idiotic GM. Conroy got slightly more than Verbeek got for Adam Henrique. This value is significantly less simply because Conroy is bad at his job.Yes, which has significantly less value than someone who is open to potentially negotiate a contract.
Hanifin got the pure rental return and not the return of someone who could be re-signed
