Somewhere nice
On to the next one.

Lets trade Wheeler Laine and Buff already.
;;)
Vegas is good they don't quit.

Just hope if and when Jets face them in the playoff we have a full line up.
Its going to take that much consolidated effort.
In sports they live and die with their best players. Its not going to be your best players night all games. As long as they are better on most nights.
I hope all our best players are hurt by this lost.
Remember it next time.

Go Jets

That Vegas team is really something.

Interesting that you focus on him totally over Wheeler. Laine for sure was really bad. But for sure Wheeler was the worst player on the ice tonight. Just completely the opposite of what he has been for quite a while already. He was the one who really cost the win for the Jets, Laine is the next in line, but there’s absolutely no way that Wheeler was not the worst player on the ice. He was the one who absolutely cost two goals clearly with his own piss poor play. Laine would only get ”assists” to both of those goals...

I literally posted:

....

Also one of the worst games I have seen Blake Wheeler play.

Do we want to pay 8mil. for 7 years to 26 for his next contract or and I can't believe I'm going to say this but would we benefit more by trading him

Remember when there was actually a “debate” about who was the better player - Laine or Austin Matthews?

Remember when Maurice put players on Wheeler's line so that they would learn how to play an aggressive hard-driving game? Now it seems that his tentative approach is seeping into Laine's game. Split them up. I'd put Laine with Copp at C at this point. Wheeler thinks that centers glide around protecting the middle of the ice, apparently.

Hard to comment on the OT because it's always a bit of a gong show. Buff got tired and let Perron walk in and wire one. Oh, well.

Roslovic and Connor had great games. Bright future for those two.

Meh, a point without Scheifele, Trouba, Kulikov is okay at this point.

Hope Lowry isn't out long. Glad the Jets have Copp.

Armia is in no way a team leader. He's a border line third liner.
Where's your criticisms of Laine? He was an absolute embarrassment to hockey tonight (as was wheeler before you say that)
ya just cause you dislike the poster dont go making irrational claims. armia is hands down a 3rd liner with top 6 potential still..

Sigh. This has been explained to you several times before.

Everyone is open for criticism. Live with that, or use the ignore list.

Vegas plays hard all the time, I'll give them that but I don't think they can maintain that level of effort into the playoffs. They aren't all that skilled but they fight tooth and nail for everything. Still we had far too many players who had off nights tonight and still could have easily won the game with a break in OT.

As a team it looked like they where over thinking things and fighting the puck in the ozone tonight. Not sure how we didn't get a bounce on some of those shots in OT but it happens.

Really disliked Wheeler's, Laine's, Lowry's, Copp's and Myers games tonight. Tanev was all hustling but didn't show any hands nor did he accomplish anything. There was also far too much dump and chase hockey tonight. Maybe it was Vegas but we weren't on our game at all for the most part. The OT goal was just awful on our vets....

I think its a much different story with a healthy Scheifele and Trouba tonight though.

I was going to get on here and blast Wheeler, but I see that job has already been taken care of. Just an awful game by him.

I just don't get it. Why can't the Jets' tall foreheads figure out that playing #33 in OT is a recipe for disaster. He's good for maybe one decent rush, then he's gassed but still stays on and looks completely foolish standing still while Perron pots the winner.

Don't get me wrong Buff is a dynamic player (that's good and bad) but until he is no longer a Jet, they are not going very far in the playoffs....IMO.
I think if Buff is healthy he'll be a huge asset for the Jets in the playoffs especially in the 3rd and OT periods when the refs bury the whistles and the physical game plays more of a factor.

55 will be good for the OT's down the stretch. Expect a lot of them too...

Laine is scoring goals but the rest of his game has regressed it's frightening.

It has been so frustrating watching him. I personally think his stats make it seem like he has been far better than he has. He seems slow and out of shape and defensively needs a lot of work.

Overall can't be too upset with that game. Myers Morrisey and Buff (before OT) all played well enough to get the win. Special teams a bit of a letdown.

Not sure what is all the noise about. Wheeler and Laine sure had an off game. But still without Shiefs, Trouba, Kuli and Lowry in third period Vegas needed to slash Helle in a neck on a PP and referees needed to make an awful decision to get them to OT. I'll take it, not every game you can beat the other team and referees...
