Is anyone really surprised? Drai carried himself in the handshake line exactly like he does in general. Selfish D-bag.
It’s Kane that is a dirt bag.
That was more Hellebuyck being all world than anything else. Didn't that series have 3 OT games? The 5v5 narrative is overblown.
True Helli was very good. Yes it featured 3 OT games.

Is McDavid 40?
8 years playing for Edmonton will do that to a person

The Oilers need another reliable top 6 forward. Goaltending still not good enough. Another d-man probably as well. Desharnais shouldn't be an every game d-man. Still need some tweaks.
Exactly. Right above Deshairnais was Ceci who is barely a top 4 RD. I think they are good with Nurse, Bouchard, Ekholm and Kulak. But they'll need 2 others who can step into top 4 and sit on the 3rd pair when healthy.

Broberg didn't really pan out. The Oilers are almost there but Vegas is the deepest team in the NHL. Their weakest D might be Martinez or McNabb who are usually paired with a stud like Theodore / Pietrangelo.

The bottom forwards on Vegas had their way with Edmonton's bottom 2-3 D.

I just think Campbell is ass. Mental game is as soft as they come. Skinner gives me more confidence even if he's not that much better.

Skinner bounced back twice this series with solid performances. So I don't blame Woodcroft for hoping he would bounce back yet again.
You could literally see in his play that skinner was going to get lit up again. If you had confidence in him you weren't watching closely

3 OT games and I believe the other game was also a 1 goal game (maybe with an empty netter at the end).

Hellebuyck was like +15 in goals saved above expected in that series through 4 games.

Crosby was always in line to shake hands, even to those that caused him injury, took cheap shots against him, or didn’t show up to shake his hand (Lidstrom).
Man have you got it twisted.

Crosby skipped the handshake line because he was too busy doing interviews. Lidstrom shook hands with everyone in the line.

By the time Crosby got around to it most wings players had finished the line and left the ice.

Chelios skipped the line in 2007 but otherwise I have no idea what you’re on about.

I get it. I'm not saying he was being a good sport but Pietrangelo very realistically could have broken the wrist of that hand he was supposed to shake with. I'm just saying it's understandable.

Have seen some takes in this thread, but “wow what a comeback from Pietrangelo with a +4” when he should’ve been gone from the series for that overhand slash/intent to injure has to take the cake.

HF does have some of the worst takes on the internet. So it’s not too farfetched to see lol

Why do you keep doing this? You really think you fool us?

Marian Hossa was huge in that playoffs, and you are also missing Dupuis.

If you need to cheat this way, you know your point is weak.
You’re moving the goal posts, since the original post was about the Oil being in the Bedard sweepstakes without McDrai. I showed you two years of the Pens that made the playoffs with similar teams. Trade deadline acquisitions are inconsequential to my point, though, one wonders why the Oil couldn’t do the same given their best players…

Agreed, Skinner was shaky from puck drop. Again. Even if you don't want to start Campbell you can't wait 2 periods to pull Skinner after seeing him looking lost out there.

Vegas had him figured out before the series started. Constant plays from behind the net and shooting high glove whenever possible.
