If it's Whitecloud, what a bullsheet move by Vegas to sign him to a long term deal only to trade him days later
Why attack someone's ability to skate? Even if he couldn't skate, your skating is still probably closer to his than a NHL player. Does that ultimately mean you can't have an opinion or report anything? Why link a reporter who can’t even skate? SinBin Ken is an idiot who knows nothing about hockey.
Calgary's prospects are better as long as Krebs stays off limits, and even then the difference between Krebs and Zary is very smallMore /= Better

If you’re investing your future, signing guys for big money for their prime while trading away prospects and picks and you’re already a perennial major contender and you don’t win then yes it’s a failure. Sharks invested in Karlsson and it didn’t work. Every move is made to win. Not be “real good”. You take chances. You make big moves in the hopes it’s the difference between being a contender and being a winner. I don’t blame them for making the moves they did but if they end up not winning a cup then what good does it do?Hockey is inherently random. Not every move is a failure just because a team failed to win the cup. Spoiler alert, 97% of NHL teams fail to win the cup each year.
People forget Dustin Wolf is a legit prospect for CGY. Not playing tonight.
Nothing to do with an Eichel trade. Our goalie prospect pool is deepHe's backing up. Any reason he's not starting?
Does it even really matter if the team trading for Eichel is cap compliant? What’s the penalty for exceeding it? Forfeit games? I’d lose two points to get a trade done if that was the hold up. Then he goes on IR and you have time to fix it until he’s back.
Nobody trading for Eichel right now is doing it with the intent of winning a bunch of games shortly anyways.
I don't know his work whatsoever, but the stuff I read there sure seems to make a lot of sense.
Not that eichel to Vegas is destined to fail, but that there are a lot of considerations to be made with their salary structure and talent pool.
Seems like Buffalo is just playing Vegas to try and get other team to make a better offer.
FTFY.People forget Dustin Rose is a legit prospect for CGY. Not playing tonight.
The Sabres are not trading their franchise goalie in an Eichel deal.Tuch Brossoit Kerbs 1st for Eichel + Anderson
On a related note, can Buffalo trade for salary before their next game to reach the floor, or would the trade be rejected by the league if it took them below the floor, even on an off-day?If a team doesn’t have the necessary cap space then the NHL will reject the trade.
That they've been very good hockey team and Stone has helped make them a very good hockey team, which is better than how the team that they got him from has fared. It's all the more impressive considering that Vegas has only been in the league for four years.
FTFY.
Take this from a Blues fan of 40 years. Being a very good hockey team is great at first but pretty soon it's not going to be enough and it's going to be a yearly let down.

I don't think that's how trading works...unless you're talking within the division.
That's what Vegas is known for in the NHLIf it's Whitecloud, what a bullsheet move by Vegas to sign him to a long term deal only to trade him days later
