Peters used to play for the Sabres and has been involved in the local sports talk scene for a few years. Not really know for breaking anything, but would theoretically have decent connections around the league and team since he’s not that far removed from his career.

For a team as decimated by injuries as Vegas currently is, I'm surprised they wanted to add another chip to the pile - while also giving up what might be some pretty serious picks.

Longterm it might work out incredibly well for them, though.
