series is not over... jets have looked absolutely dominant when they had to...2 of the 3 remaining games are at home....but there is no question helle has to play significantly better considering how dominant fleury has been.

I dont know why the Jets wait until the third period to turn it on...they need to play with that urgency out of the gate....ehlers looked good in the 3rd...was flying all over the place....the jets arent a perfect team and have some holes but do you think vegas has more talent? not a chance. Jets are blowing an incredible opportunity to play in the stanley cup finals.
Cinderella teams like Vegas do not win the Stanley Cup They always fall short. At some point reality will kick in for them. The question is will it happen in the conference finals or the stanley cup finals?

I couldn't disagree more with the emboldened part of your post. It may be a "Cinderella team"--but it's full of skilled Veterans with a Goalie running a Save Percentage of around 94 %. Fleury has been around-- 11-12 years--lot's of experience.

I'd say if Vegas get's by the Jets-- they go on to win the Cup !!! and they will do it the same way the beat the Kings, Sharks and Jets. ( if they get by the Jets)

I think the Jet's can still win this series--and if they win the next one--"game on" and the series is 3-2--all the Jet's have to do is win 1 game in Vegas. Helle has to get a little tighter-- he let in a bit of a softie tonight.

I think the Objective Poster-- has gotten to emotionally invested in this series to be "objective"--and is being a little to Subjective. I think you should give credit where it's due-- and acknowledge this Vegas team is for real--"and very tough to beat."

The counter strike of the Vegas team is their game plan against the Jets.

So what ... maybe Vegas should have got a lot more penalties. I love how they can run interference and not worry about getting a penalty. Remember game 2 against the Sharks how Gallant was crying about all the interference the Sharks were doing.

8 easy goals allowed in last three games. No doubt Jets lose when they keep giving those easy goals. Stupid penalty for Myers to make that one kind of easy goal as well, so that would be 9 easy goals out of 9. Empty netter stat padder does not count, otherwise that would be 10/10.

Yes, I see your points, but I really have to remain Objective--it's just the way I am. Fleury is as big a part of their team--as our great forwards are to our team--and so far he's winning the battle.

It's unlikely that things will change--he's won the Cup before, and teams that win the Cup--so so with great Goaltending.

With that being said--I'm taking Vegas to win this series in 6 Games-- however the Jets can still come back and win it--"it's happened before."

If they don't the young guys will just get stronger, and will have learned how to deal with playoff emotions--and they will be back next year--"a lot stronger". They will again face the Preds and these same Knights--they're not going anywhere.

I'm hoping for a miraculous comeback--3 straight against a "tough team."

I haven't read the thread but this game feels like a certain pivotal game last series that we won despite. I'm sick of this conspiracy ref crap. If there was a level of consistency reffing this shit wouldn't be so hard to take. The lines need to be more black and white in all areas of the game without leaving up to interpretation. If laine called helly out I'd point out laine had one goal in whole Nashville series. Both have played in same number of nhl playoffs and before this series helly has been way more dominant.

That's just silly. Helly has been straight up bad for a few games and ultimately put the Jets on the brink of elimination with his subpar play. You can't compare those two players and positions. No matter what Helly says to the media, he knows that his blunders have cost the Jets these games. Laine has been really good this series btw.

Yep. Our guys get away with lots of shit too, but people only see the stuff the other guy gets away with.

I don't blame Helle for starting to be shaky. He has played an insane amount of hockey this season.
