I dont mind losing WCF at all (year was positive), but the way it's happening just makes me sick. Because rigged reffing Jets had zero change leading game after first period. Made up calls wont change that.

Maybe it's a league directive. If a first year team like Vegas can win the Stanley Cup, the NHL will have an easier time extracting $ 650 million from the next expansion team. The league will point to Vegas as to what's possible for any new prospective owner.

Helle--is playing real good as well--it's just that Fleury has been "fantastic"
I'm really hoping the Jet's come back and take the next 3 straight-- and if they don't they've come a long way--and had a great season.
Just so proud to be a Jet's fan.:thumbu:

Hang on, the series is not over. As for Fleury... I don't buy it. Yes, Fleury has been sometimes great, and at other times intensely lucky. He definitely can be beaten. And he will be!

Also Fleury is no Hasek and he's been one of the flukiest top goalies in the past at least IMO. Sure, he has played great so far, but the Jets shouldn't fear or respect him too much. But they do need to find a way to tear him down for a game.

Nailed it. That's why I think the Jets can climb this mountain. I'm not ready to fold up this tent. For that reason alone.

Maybe we can sort of flip the whole "underdog" thing around now that we're in this deep hole. Now that the expectation is that we're done like yesterday's dinner, perhaps the boys can go out and play a less "constricted" game and get some of their regular season mojo back. I doubt it, but who knows?

This has been a very frustrating series so far , Helly lets in a early goal , Jets fight to tie it up , Helly lets in a goal right after , Jets own the Knights for the rest of the game , tie it up , Buff has a puck jump over his stick , Knights score on a short side shot that Helly has to stop , game over , very frustrating . Not giving up on the Jets yet , 3 games left , 2 at home , just need Helly to be the 920% instead of sub 900% .

Not looking for excuses but the no call on Scheif which should have been a 4 minute PP for the Jets and actually ends up with Scheif getting the only penalty , was a very big point in the game . How does the ref not see that , especially right in front of him . :shakehead

Yep truer words have never been spoken.
Vegas has capitalized on their chances and we cannot hold a lead.
Still proud of the team this year.
Cheers to you

That's part of the problem. Outside of game one, we have been unable to get a lead. In order for the Jets to make any sort of comeback in this series, they'll need to score first in each remaining game and hopefully get a 2 goal lead in each of them.

I suspect the long suffering ( :sarcasm: ) Vegas fans may be in for a much different ride next season. I doubt very much there's a repeat of what happened this season coming...

I disagree. They’ve been calling out the officiating for being one-sided for at least the last two games, I was at game 2 so I’m not sure what they said there.

I'm not a big Simpson fan but he called out the refs at least 3 times last night for missing blatant penalties against Vegas. He was also diagusted at the missed icing call at the end.

I just think they are pumping Vegas a bit too much and Hughson gets the Jets players names wrong more than Beyak .

I had a weird dream. It had to do with the Jets coming back from a 3-1 series deficit to beat Vegas. The narrative was around how the franchise, who in the past had failed to close out series where we held a 3-1 lead, had finally come back to win a series where we trailed 3-1. It was a monkey off our back. How so few teams had done it - teams of destiny. It was overcoming adversity. It was taking our game to a new level when our backs were against the wall. It was compared to the Red Sox finally beating the Yankees.

It was just a dream, but it was so real that I find myself believing it this morning.

Ya Simpson has been better the last couple of games but how does Hughson get the Jets players wrong so much ?

Hey Guys...Isles fan coming in peace. for the love of god, beat this team! I won't be able to look at the game the same way if Vegas wins the cup and I have no confidence that one of the Caps or TBL will beat them...you guys though...You have a real deep squad and have the ability to beat them!

I couldn't disagree more with the emboldened part of your post. It may be a "Cinderella team"--but it's full of skilled Veterans with a Goalie running a Save Percentage of around 94 %. Fleury has been around-- 11-12 years--lot's of experience.

I'd say if Vegas get's by the Jets-- they go on to win the Cup !!! and they will do it the same way the beat the Kings, Sharks and Jets. ( if they get by the Jets)

I think the Jet's can still win this series--and if they win the next one--"game on" and the series is 3-2--all the Jet's have to do is win 1 game in Vegas. Helle has to get a little tighter-- he let in a bit of a softie tonight.

I think the Objective Poster-- has gotten to emotionally invested in this series to be "objective"--and is being a little to Subjective. I think you should give credit where it's due-- and acknowledge this Vegas team is for real--"and very tough to beat."

Vegas would have a chance against the bolts not against the caps. If your watching those games the caps deserve to be already waiting to see who wins this series.

There's still potentially 3 games left in the series. Jets will be playing their back against the wall in every single one of them, so it's a tough ask but still very much doable. All they need to do is win 2 in a row to take it to game 7, and at that point no one will care who won the last 2. Also Jets have been there before, Vegas hasn't and IMO if the Jets can drag this series on, Vegas will get tired. The way they play I think is very demanding physically. If they have to keep it up for a tightly scheluded 7 game series, I think cracks will begin to show even more.

Complaining about the Refs --is a "loser's game --all teams get bad penalties called against them -- but in the long run, it usually balances out. The Refs are there to do a job, and put food on the table for their families.

Right now, we're being beaten by a "very tough team" that has a Goaltender playing with a 94 Save% Percentage. The Jets have to keep their eye on the ball--and not blame things on the Refs--same goes for some posters--although it makes them feel better.

If Vegas does beat the Jets--I think they'll win the Cup !!! they make few mistakes, don't take off periods, and have some great veteran players. Give them credit.

The one thing I hate is the "balancing out" argument. No it doesn't. They scored off a dive that should have been a 4v4 situation. The only way to really balance that would be to wave off the goal. Where was our 4min power play that could have won us that game? Did we get one later on I missed?

The b.s. icing call at the end, with 7 seconds left? You really think you can "balance" that out later? How by adding time to the clock?

The missed trip on wheeler when he was driving to the net, could have scored, wasn't called how do you balance that out?

You can't balance out poor officating. It impacts the game, impacts the players and more then likely it determines the outcome.

Saying it will balance out is saying that bully who steals your lunch money karma will get him so I don't have to do anything.
