Good trade for both I think.

Lindholm should really help the Canucks. Not sure how the lines will look, but have a really strong forward group. Also getting 5.5 in cap space for next year helps.

Calgary did well here too. Kuzmenko is better than he is getting credit for, I think he will have a strong finish to the year. Hunter B is a good prospect, and has had a great year. 1st will be in the mid to late 20s, so Calgary gets an ok pick. 4th and jurmo likely don’t add much. I like that return for the flames.

Canucks got one of the best rentals on the market and didn’t give up any of our top or nhl ready prospects. I doubt that they are done, as they also have 1.9 in cap space left.

Nobody is saying Vancouver can’t try him out for a month and flip him for a better asset that helps them more down the road.

Lindholm has the ability to play Selke level defensively and pot 40 goals, he’s going to be highly motivated having the year he has had and a pending UFA.

Now add Pettersson on his line and Quinn Hughes passing him pucks. Should see an increase in points.

I’d say the chances of Lindholm getting flipped is about zero.

absolutely fleecing by the flames. been watching lindholm all year , not impressed. anyone with him in fantasy knows his play this year is mediocre at best.

not a bad pick up still for the canucks but at that price ??? completely disgusting and flames laughing all the way to the bank with this hahahahaha.

What? The quotes have nothing to do with Horvat. I think you need to reread the chain of quotes. You said Calgary is going to get a haul for Kuz after scoring with Huby… put down the pint.
What? My posts in this thread clearly show the first one was about Horvat and the rest were responses. Reading and understanding context is hard for people, I get it. Just admit you didn’t take time to read what I had said prior and came in guns blazing with zero context. Then cried bias. Stop being a petty troll, you refuse to acknowledge my original take which was in no way disparaging the Canucks but only pointing out I think the Flames (who I hate) did well here. Your inferiority complex made you immediately assume I was somehow attacking the Canucks. Get off your high horse.

the Zadarov trade rumors make a lil more sense now, need to recoup something

if he plays like Danault in previous years I will be content. 50ish points playing against the toughest competition. Miller/EP/Lindholm/Blueger down the middle is plenty deep in the western conference.

all the fan bickerings from rival teams are expected, in the end, this management's pro scouting is pretty exceptional so far, all we can say is, this move gave them a chance in the big club, replacing a part that doesnt fit at all with Lindholm can only be interpreted as an upgrade. the fact that his contract expires is a pro, that his 6 years experience as a 2C from the western conference is a bonus.

Wow, bad take. But at least you seem to be having fun.

I’m talking about the quote I posted, I’m not running around reading all your posts…. Man your complex needs some psychotherapy treatment. Good luck buddy.

funny cause from a Canucks POV I didn't want Lindholm because as you say he's having a bad yr. But for that price I'm fine with it. We gave up next to nothing.

late first, prospect taken in the 3rd, a bust, a conditional 4th and a cap dump that gets 5.5 off the books next year when the Canucks need to re-sign Pettersson and Hronek

Lindholm fills all the Canucks needs, another top 6 fwd that can play C or W, a PKer, another fwd for the powerplay and lets the Canucks stack the top line while having a 2C, or even using him as a 3C if needed. Plus, the Canucks don't need more scoring, they need better defensive players.

Sure, there's good value, but it's certainly not a fleecing.

The prices seem quite high, I was hoping the Leafs went after a good D man and a good 3c/1lw but now I say just go after a D like Lybushkin and thats it

so far, I'm liking the early returns on the Craig Conroy era in Calgary
Nailing it so far, they seem to really be trusting the scouting staff and they've been very good recently so I'm all for it. If a team drafted Hunter in the 2nd or late first they'd be pumped.

Re-sign Hanifin, trade Tanev, trade another forward and let the young guys play and I'll consider the year a success.

Canucks are going for a run.

Love to see it. I think this is good for both teams.

It's a high price, but we'll see if it was worthwhile for Vancouver.

It's not really much to give up honestly. It's good for Calgary because they can hope Kuzmenko returns to form which is very possible but he had no value to us anymore with his cap hit.

Brzustewicz is a first rounder in a redraft. Maybe top10-15
Thats prob a stretch but certainly a high 2nd rounder

kuzmenko is a cap dump for the Canucks at this point and has negative value. Otherwise I wouldn’t say the return is massive.
