Both kuz and lindholm will be better with their new teams

kuz just in tocchets doghouse all season. Once he gets more freedom again in cgy, he will get going again

Lindholm gonna be racking pts just playing with EP

Kuzmenko must be considered a capdump if Calgary got that haul
He was.

The Canucks are a much, much better team today.

The Canuck fans can now be honest and bash Kuzmenko since he’s gone.

Lindholm is an excellent player. Not sure how they fit him and Petterson under the Cap next year though. Maybe it doesn’t matter because the Canucks will be even better than they’ve been this year and are all in to go for the Cup. Will be tough to bet against .

5 assets for a soon to be UFA seems dumb but I guess we’ll see.

A very late 1st and a 3rd rounder from 7 months ago have value

A conditional 4th, a 3rd rounder from 4 years ago, and a cap dump with an extra year at 5.5m do not

Tip of the cap to some fans who hit the nail on the head with Kuzmenko + 1st + Hunter.
Gotta say I'm cautiously optimistic that the team has a plan to fit his cap in the future, and hoping and praying Hunter's season this year is a one-off . Thanks AK for trying, too bad the fit isn't there in VAN, but I'm glad our 1st is likely super late, and Jurmo/ 4th are just depth. Just don't come back to burn us, Kuzy.

Islanders 1st = Vancouver 1st + Brzustewicz
Raty + Beauviller = Kuzmenko

So just a 4th and Jurmo on top. It's not that much more than what Vancouver got for Horvat.

I can finally stopped pretending that i still have hope on Kuzy

Miller - Pettersson - Boeser
Hoglander - Lindholm - Mikheyev
Joshua - Blueger - Garland
Aman - Suter - Lafferty

that's crazy depth thicc down the middle.
I don't mean to be rude but what's so special about the second, third and fourth lines? Don't get me wrong, the team is playing well but that doesn't look like depth to me.

I think most Canuck fans are going to miss Kuz and his personality and smile.

Honestly hope he turns it around and Calgary and does well. Hes such a likeable guy

I think this trade is a win for both Calgary and Vancouver.

Vancouver gives up a reasonable number of assets, not including top prospects (though I would consider Hunter 1A), and moves a forward that was clearly not working there in Kuzmenko. The 1st is steep, but fair for the value Lindholm brings and clearly was "the" asset that signals they're taking their chances in a real playoff push.

Calgary gets some additional assets to assist with their prospect pool and a top 6 player and goal producer in Kuzmenko - who definetely could (potentially) turn his production around/up in a new environment. 40 goals in this league is no fluke. It's also unlikely that Lindholm was going to re-sign in YYC.

Good hockey trade!

Kuzmenko was necessary to go in any deal for an impact player, as well as the 1st.

Jurmo may or may not pan out to be anything, I haven't really followed him top closely but this is his D+4 year and he will be 22 in a few months. Not likely to be an impact player anytime in the next ~2 years, if ever.

Conditional 4th is basically meaningless.

Losing Hunter will hurt if he is as good as he looks but time will tell.
