Really hope the picks aren’t from us. THT for Dragic is whatever to me, dude is overhyped. It’s Dragic though so not expecting much.

Noel can’t stay healthy at all, don’t want him but I guess he’s included for $ purposes. Would love Nunn in the deal though

If we could swing all three,

we could run a rotation like:

FVV - Trent Jr - OG - Siakim - Noel

Nunn - THT - Barnes - Boucher - Achiuwa

Which would allow us to start running plays for Scottie while easing him into offensive responsibilities, but also gives us a decent second unit.

I can't believe posters haven't learned not to question the raptors front office lol. These guys have given us nothing but the best management in the league ever since Masai took over.

Masai/Webster is not perfect by any means, but has done quite well for the most part. Imagine they traded Lowry to the Knicks like they wanted to, would be a different tune.

Thad Young is a Raptors type player. Obviously past his prime but he's a high IQ, tough defender at 6'8. Not a very good outside shooter but he can score in the low post and plays team basketball.

Unless they were attaching a pick they weren't getting much value for Dragic. He'll fit much better on a Nick Nurse team than someone like Gallinari (whose owed $20M next year as well)

If this deal is 1 for 1 they also open $5M (right now they have an open roster spot - cut Dekker to get below the luxury tax, currently $260k shy. Add $5M to that and we can assume they'll either sign a buyout or have more room to take on money in this or another trade.

Maybe, maybe not. Guess we will never know. What we do know is that they have delivered a chip, and have made fantastic moves. Most if not all have been really good.

With two bigs in this deal, this likely makes Birch and/or Boucher available.

I would love to see the team find a way to acquire another PG (like Nunn) and a shooter.

Biggest issue is depth on this team and this addressed it fairly well without giving up too much. I mean the Raps 1st is probably in early 20s and the 2nd is likely early 30s. Basically moving down 10 spots.

I'm almost tempted to say that Precious should start at C and move one of Barnes/OG/Trent to 2nd unit to give them a shooter. It allows you to play with Eubanks/Young as bigs down low, and a decent shooter with them. If we trust Banton to lead this group, then we just need a PG/SG/SF to compliment.

If Flynn could ever get his shooting together, this would have been his spot.
