lol flynn has looked like trash since the frist game. im less and less confident hes an nba'er the more i see him as the primary ball handler. backup PG is gonna be a big issue for us this year, at this point i would rather barnes play PG.

Defense is already terrific with Scottie but he just needs to find his confidence offensively and he'll be golden. It'll probably take some time but I think Nurse is a great fit for him. He's a players coach and good motivator.

That's never been his game though. He's always been a shooter/scorer.

to me hes alot like FVV, honestly barnes seems like a more effective 1 than flynn already. flynn looks like a 2 on offense. i hope they try barnes at the 1 FVV at the 2 on offense in the regular season then switch them on the defensive side.

Unfortunately judging from the way Barnes is being used during the Summer League I see them using Barnes as a 5 and run a small ball lineup. Flynn wouldn't be bad as a 2 with VanVleet being the main ball handler since I think he's the better playmaker.

i mean when they make barnes a spot shooter he looks like a different player and not in a good way, when hes got the ball he makes alot of stuff happen(like the 2nd half). alot of that is on patrick mutombo though. i dont think nurse will use him the same way. he could have had 10 assists tonight if it wasnt for gillespie. i think scottie is gonna thrive with a real system. great thing about barnes is from what i see he can legit guard all positions on the floor which allows nurse to play him more and experiment. he still gets blown by on occassion but i think some of that is him over committing on help defense.

I think using Scottie as a primary ball handler with Flynn would be better than the other way around. Scottie is a better playmaker and Flynn shoots better in catch and shoot scenarios.

I kind of hope they make the playoffs because I think they can be a gritty, likeable team, but it's probably in our best interest to get another top 10 pick this year, and deal Dragic & Boucher at the deadline for more picks.

If they’re relatively healthy it’ll be a massive disappointment if they miss with this squad.

Last year was an outlier. They’ve gotten younger and re-tooled on the fly but they aren’t trying to tank multiple years… That’s not how they built a winning culture and a winning program.
