Who cares what shirt Goran wears at the gym in the offseason? Like seriously? So long as he puts in 100% every night no one should care.
Funny because Kyle Lowry didn’t want to play for the Raptors in the beginning, either…

… but most have said Dragic is a professional and if you remember the Raptors-Heat 2016 conference finals, he’s a gamer… and he’s playing for another contract. If he’s on the team to start the season I expect he’ll come and play as he always has.

One thing that may hit his trade value is age/health concerns. He’s had injuries the last few seasons so hopefully he can stay healthy. Good to see he’s in the gym taking care of his body.

4th pick scottie barnes, 7 minutes and 2 field goal attempts lol and he looks injured...this is going well lol

I do find it funny that some people spent the last two-three weeks saying they didn't want Goran in Toronto and now that he says he doesn't want to be there either people are offended lol. He's going to be dealt at some point, whether its before the season or at the deadline. He just doesn't fit in with the construction of the roster. He knows it, management knows it but obviously they can't outright come out and say that.

The uproar about him wearing his old team's t-shirt while training is pretty ridiculous lol

I love Banton's energy, but he needs to not have the ball in his hands... like, ever. The dribbles are ugly, the passes are ugly, the shots are ugly.

barnes lacks killer instinct is a little concerning so far for me, hes had numerous opportunities to take it strong to the hoop and he refuses to, he could have dunked the ball numerous times so far in the 3 games ive watched but is settling for layups and floaters, i hope this front office knows what they are doing. not overly impressed so far. doesnt help that this stupid coach has him camped in the corner, as hes getting very few touches. he needs to have the ball in his hands.

ye but if we can help him put it together, man hes got a real chance. hes got the tools, you can see it.

Pretty silly, isn’t it?

Players are fans. They wear NBA gear all the time. Kobe famously walked in wearing a Jordan Bulls jersey to play for the Lakers.

How many players have worn a Raptors VC jersey in the dunk competition? Was anyone mad? Organization has player on a big stage wearing another jersey… and nobody cares?

It’s summertime, he just got traded, likely didn’t get any Raptors gear (he may never) and threw on a shirt with D Wade to hit the gym.

Not really a big deal.

OMG you hit the nail on the head here. Half this board sounding like a scorned 16 year old............wow.............not a big deal at all..........absolutely asinine to dump him now if you can't get decent value for him.

Yeah would have been great to dump him for something solid now but if the value isn't there wait til the deadline and flog him then. He should have some value then.

Why on earth sell low now? Cus he wore another teams jersey and mistakenly slandered our city (which he gave a very sincere apology for........). Give the guy a break and get over it.......

I always liked Dragic........I was a big Phoenix fan when Nash was there and he was coming up behind him. Always liked his game........at some point this year someone will pay us an asset for him..........hopefully a contender or someone trying to make the playoffs at the deadline. I would re-do that Trent Powell trade 10 times out of 10..........Let's see if we might be able to get a similar result at some point.

he was miamis leading scorer in their run to the finals, hes got alot of value still, trade-wise and having him in our lineup.

I dont see a spot for Dekker or Freddie anywhere on the NBA roster. Dekker might stick around a bit while Siakam is hurt if he can shoot the ball.

Yeah he needs to clean up the bad passes/decision making, he tries to make the hardest passes work.

He also needs to work on his jumper but his finishing on drives and ability to blow by players and drive and kick is good.

the thing about him is he literally sees OVER the coverage from the point which will help his passing alot, and with his reach and height he can do simmons-esque stuff at the rim as a PG. but ye, he definitely needs to work on a bunch of stuff. he must be thrilled to have been drafted by us, maximizes his chances of making it into the league.

Yeah get that dude as far away as possible, high motor but no skill. I dont think I've ever seen anyone miss so many shots in the paint in my life

Anyone else find it messed up that dudes like Wainright are making 150-250k a season being reserves/bench players and then the top guys are making 50M a year. Like compare that to the NHL which has a much lower revenue and atleast those NHL/AHLers are making double or triple that at least

That low end, sub-$250k deal for Wainwright is a partial guarantee/camp deal. He would have to get a full contract to make the team and I'm pretty sure the minimum NBA salary for guys with little to no NBA experience is something like $900k.

It's still a huge discrepancy from that to the top stars, but it is slightly better.

The reason it happens though is that the NBA makes silly amounts of money on the whole, which drives their scalable cap figure up and because the NBA is a much more star-driven sport/league than the NHL is, that money gets pushed to the higher echelons of players rather than the low-end guys.

Honestly, the NHL is the weird one in that there's such a small gap between the league minimum salary (which I believe is $775k) and the top salaries (I think it's Auston Matthews' nearly $16m in actual salary (not cap hit)?).
