Is there ever a light at the end of the tunnel in this city? What the hell do we have to do to even get out of the first ****ing round. Pure madness. This series was a slap in the face to all of us

Toronto sports teams :noway:

Raptors = 20 years, 1 playoff series victory
Maple Leafs = 10 years, 1 playoff appearance and losing that in style, no cups in 48 years
Blue Jays = Only team in MLB with no playoff appearance in 22 years
Toronto FC = 0 playoff appearances in history

Gonna go watch Game of Thrones. Night guys!!

People need to relax, we just won back to back division titles. I know it sucks getting swept but are still a good team and only getting better. i hope Casey keeps his job, i think hes a very good coach.

Masai fired the coach of the year after losing in the playoffs. So anything can happen.

What would it take to land Wiggins this offseason? I would be willing to include anyone in the deal except Derozan.

first 4 episodes are leaked

Ya I know already watched them. Gonna go rewatch. Or maybe check out Daredevil. I hear that's a great show.

lol you can't be serious? There's a reason why the Atlantic is referred to as the Titanic Division. It's because the other 4 teams are garbage. If the Raps played out West they wouldn't even sniff the playoffs and the East as a whole sucks. There's only 3 really good teams in the East. Raps are very flawed and need a lot of work still. They are a decent team but to say they are a good team is just wrong.

SHAME
casey is clueless
if masai keeps casey, he's a moron.

Well Casey's fate should have been sealed tonight, imo it was 2nd round or bust for him this season. The beating the Raprots received from the Wiz this year and the lack of any kind of compete the way he left Ross in the game when he played so bad, the way he left Amir in the game with the horrid defence he was playing. The way he refused to change the defence to guard the 3 ball.

There are a lot of things I chewed Casey out about this season and last, the fact that he doesn't turn JV loose, run any kind of plays for the guy and refuses to play your best perimeter defender in JJ is stupid coaching.

Though in this series we have seen one major hole in JV's game, his lack of defensive awareness. But the whole team was playing this way so it's hard to say what really happened there? is JV really that bad or was it just a case of the Wiz having lady luck on their side?

They definatly out worked Toronto who seemed flat and content to not compete. The Wiz seemed relaxed with how loose the Toronto D was playing them hitting open jumper after open jumper after open jumper after open jumper etc etc. Everything Toronto did was contested, and they did little to disrupt the Washington defensive pressure, there was no ball movement and when they did it was either intercepted because of bad decision making or the raptor that recived the pass was playing hero ball and tried to beat 4 Wizard defenders only to have it stripped.

The loss is on the Raptors, weak mental game is what lost them the series, they let Paul Pierce and co get into their heads, they got rattled and were never able to recover. The reality is we do have some cap space coming up this off season with Landry Fields ($8.5 million )
Amir Johnson ($7 million)
Chuck Hayes ($6 million)
Lou Williams ($5.5 million)
Marcus Camby ($4 million) what he was on the books for.
Hansbrough ($3.3 million) I thought he signed for 2 more seasons this past off season, but everywhere I look has him coming off the books.

There are some big names on the market this year, Guys that could help Toronto but my gues is Toronto brings back Amir, they bring back Lou and try to find a backup Center and a SF with the remaining cap space. The fans will go ape **** that no major roster moves were done and we go on the Coach watch after Casey is let go.

As much as I don't want this to happen, I can sense a downward trend from the Raptors. I hope I am wrong and Masai can pull some magic and string together a nice deal and make a key signing and we possibly win a round next year.

I hope Amir isn't brought back. His body is in such tatters it's tough to rely on a guy like that to make it through the season and then contribute through a grinding playoffs

Priority #1 has to be figuring out what to do with JV. You either have to commit to him and make him a focal point of this team or you need to trade him while his value is high.

Did Casey seriously call a timeout and draw up a play down 34 with less than two minutes left?

Cathal Kelly of the Globe and Mail speculates that the Toronto Raptors might trade DeMar DeRozan to the Los Angeles Lakers during the offseason. Kelly also speculates that Amir Johnson, Landry Fields, Chuck Hayes, Greg Stiemsma, Lou Williams, and Greivis Vasquez won't be playing for the Toronto Raptors next season.

http://www.theglobeandmail.com/spor...sy-from-the-raptors-meltdown/article24132860/

It’s a time for (semi) educated guesses, so here’s one – Mr. DeRozan lands in Los Angeles. Though currently awful, the Lakers are compelled to tool up for next year, since it’s Kobe Bryant’s last. A guy like Mr. Bryant is not going out on a 30-win team. He’ll torch the Staples Center before he lets that happen.

The Lakers will sign free agents Kevin Love and Rajon Rondo for nothing but money. Then they trade picks and/or prospects for another need – a versatile, unselfish wing who just happens to be from L.A.

Skittish small forward Terrence Ross steps into Mr. DeRozan’s role, much as Mr. DeRozan stepped into Rudy Gay’s. Presto whammo – instant, painless facelift.

There will be plenty of others who leave quietly. They are the broken (Amir Johnson, Landry Fields), the unnecessary (Chuck Hayes, Greg Stiemsma), the overpriced (Lou Williams) and the downright dangerous (Greivis Vasquez).

It leaves them very young and a little thin –Mr. Lowry, Mr. Ross (24) and centre Jonas Valanciunas (22) are the core of that new Raptors team.

This is where the localized wretchedness of today’s NBA comes into play. That shaky roster may still win the Atlantic Division. If Mr. Ujiri can have it both ways – a quickie rebuild, along with home-court advantage in the playoffs – why wouldn’t he try?

They mailed that one in quite nicely. This isn't a Masai or Casey problem even though Casey isn't a great coach. This is a player issue and their lack of effort and motivation, they played like absolutely garbage in 2 of these 4 games.

Is this a joke? No one should be untouchable in a deal for Wiggins.
Andrew Wiggins had an effective field goal % of .454 and true shooting % of .517. The NBA average is .496 for eFG% and .534 for TS%. He is overrated as hell. Anyone can shoot a bunch of times and pad their point totals. That doesn`t make you rookie of the year.

Andrew Wiggins has value as a prospect. But the Raptors I`m assuming want to move forward and compete in the playoffs next year rather than go through a rebuild.
