Goalies are too unpredictable in this league. They can be shit one season then god the next.

That’s because it’s all between the ears. That’s what separate the good from the great and so on.

Nephew of leafs owner, was beside me.

He figured I was informed, but when my friend tucks was taken out by alfreddson, via a shoulder sep, and alreddson was allowed to walk in and score

I went crazy a bit.

He was like upset he had even sat beside me.

He said, do you know what this means.

Not saying anything more.

Never lost on sports or stocks since talking with the guy.

Matthews seemed to be deferring a bunch again. Literally the shooters are afraid to take a shot so the passers take bad shots.

Finally a shooter (JT) actually took a shot on the power play and we scored.

Well yeah that's sort of how I see it everyone passing up shots to try and get the puck to Mathews and his shooting lanes are blocked. The guy that could have shot, Galchenyuk for example gives up a nice opportunity to pass it off.

Game is clearly all on Rittich, not much more than that.

Just want to mention I thought Sandin was excellent tonight. Showed no effects of this being his first true full game of professional hockey this year. So much poise and skill at a young age, what a player we have there.

Underlying stats matched the eye test. He made smart decisions with the puck and his skating got him back into position every time

He is a wizard in the offensive zone.

Hate to say it but marner and matthews duo when matthews isn't feeling right is a liability. They have zero chemistry when Matthews can't go beast mode. There's enough evidence now that suggests this is true. Ugly hockey together and marner has no plays for him.

A simple switch to help us rack up some more goals is am-wn jt-mm.

These duos have guaranteed Chem that can offset matthews not being 100%. Marner always looks good with JT. Nylanders game works well with any offensive player.

which is why I’ve been saying, if they win 1 more game. It will be nearly impossible for Vancouver to do. You’re telling me in your heart of hearts you think Toronto has a chance of going 0-15 to end the season? Aint happening

Could I see this team losing all nine? No. Would I be shocked? Not anymore.

This is the first Leafs game that I intentionally decided not to watch for the first time all season. It looks like I made the right decision.

Rittich's save percentage heading into this game was around .900%, no shock that he had another crapfest.

Our goaltending has been garbage all season with the exception of a short stretch with Campbell. Even Hutchinson who wasn't horrific every game wasn't anything special.

Goaltending will kill the Leafs in the first round, Andersen isn't the answer, neither is Campbell or Rittich.

Rittich had a .911 SV% in his two games as a Leaf going into tonight, with him putting up a .941 SV% in relief of Campbell against Winnipeg.

Shame because I believe this is a good team, but you're not winning anything with goaltending this bad.

When healthy, their bottom 6 still isn't good enough.

There's 10 games left in the season, and they aren't any closer to finding their optimal bottom 6 than they were game in game 10.

Endlessly repeating yourself is not an explanation. Hyman-Engvall-Mikheyev were excellent in their limited time together, and you think we can't cobble together a decent 4th line with some combination of Foligno/Foligno's replacement when he inevitably slots into the top-9/Robertson/Spezza/Simmonds/Thornton?

And "Not good enough" and "Not optimized" are not synonymous, don't equivocate.

Its very simple, this team doesn’t have that “it” factor. Teams like boston, tampa, washington and pittsburgh just seem to get it done. This team has to be the most inconsistent team in the last 50yrs. The work ethic is deplorable and the ridiculous amount of carelessness in their passing is truly unbelievable for a pro team. Leafs getting dropped first round no doubt about it.

I think Matthews was just simply bad tonight. It wasn't that he was passing up shots, it's that he didn't get himself into good areas to shoot or get it when he was in position

Keefe doesn’t need to talk to dubas about who plays. Sabourin is useless outside of fighting, engvall doesn’t have a place anyways when we’re fully healthy, so none of it matters.

You don’t have a clue about hockey bud and thats not even debatable. Sabourin would do more in one shift and is better than Engvall by country mile. It’s not funny you fans that like this guy. You think he’s pretty or something I’m wondering. Ha he’s useless

The only team in the last 15 years to consistently get it done is pit. Bos won a cup once, it took wash 12 years of Ovi, and Tampa longer than that with stammer.
