As a young 28 year old American working in Iran in 1978 when this song came out, I used to drive across the Iranian desert with this cassette playing in my car and even though some of my Iranian friends could not speak a word of English, they could sing every word of this song and not miss a beat. That now seems like many lifetimes ago.
