Also all this ignores that st Louis is another unproven French who only got the job because he speak French

Hire people who are smart regardless of what language they speak.

OK train stopping going home. Gonna get some beer too. Night.

MSL literally got the job because 1) obviously he has some connections to Hughes/Gorton, but mostly 2) because of his hockey smarts. He has always been one of the smartest player in the league during his career as a player, and he's spent several years since his retirement further studying the game and understanding it. I don't know how he'll fare as a "winning coach" moving forward, but as a "developmental" stop-gap coach, he's legit.

Also, if they wanted to hire a guy coach because they spoke french (which yes, is a requirement), they had a bunch of guys waiting for a call with tons of coaching experience and proven track records and consequently, old boomer hockey smarts - Guy Boucher, Alain Vigneault, Guy Carbonneau, etc. But no, they went to MSL for the breath of fresh air he brings to the table and his views on player development.

ducharme did fantastic his first year and tanked terribly after ! don't assume st louis is the new trend!
he brought the team to the SCF but it was all price; the team actually played better when he was sidelined with covid and Richardson took the reigns

many of us habs fans weren't thrilled about the extension because there were legitimate massive flaws in his coaching style, and you could see he didn't care at all about development

it's been fixed for months now

Montreal only hiring french coaches and FO figures is prejudiced

Using piss jugs and shitting in grocery bags behind your local bar isn’t a proper fix.

As for Montreal and their neverending boner over wanting to keep everything French no matter what…I say “keep it up Buttercup!!!”

1993 aside…having grown up watching them fail year in year out because of (and yet still arrogantly refusing to move away from….or even trying to change a bit of) this antiquated mindset is f***ing hilarious.

I mean sheesh…any other franchise wouldn’t care if their coaches and front office spoke English, French, Chinese, Spanish, or were f***ing mute for pete sakes…as long as they produced a winner.

You’d think with having 20+ Cups….they’d be bright enough to know that. :sarcasm:

No I told you a hundred times the plumber came and fixed it right after it broke because I wasn't fixing that shit myself.

Montreal thinks they're special :sarcasm:

Even English Premier League hires French, Italians and Germans lol

why not Montreal

Ryanair absolutely savage, even going after Elon Musk 😂

Even though they are obviously bastards and one of the patently objectively evil capitalist corporations, I can't help loving them  I remember someone saying about them once while on another budget airline "At least with Ryanair you know they hate you"

We had some Crypto companies that purchased ads at the baseball stadium here and then that company's crypto value went down the drain

Huh??? I only remember you saying nonstop that you were always “too busy” to fix it.

Nevertheless welcome back to the 21st century though.

As for Quebec overall, oh they’re special alright…
